The punch effect will be something akin to this

And I'm trying to go for a partial sphere for the energy shield. If I can make this work, I can extend it in to other figures and lines for use with energy deflection, like as an I-Field Barrier for Gundams.

Yes, but a full coverage sphere would be a little ridiculous, so I'm looking to make a section of it instead, that can be placed in front, to the side, etc.

I don't just have one favorite pic but these are my top 3. And yeah I'm definitely getting 2 but with all the pics I kinda want more lol but I think I'm gonna keep it at 2. I haven't looked at paint yet but I imagine a lime green or neon green would be right. I'm gonna start looking next week probably.

I went crazy and pre-ordered a few. With the pictures I'm seeing, I'm not going to be disappointed.

Those are really awesome pictures, too. That is a really cool point of view picture of him ready to shoot a ki blast. I like seeing Broly squish Super Saiyan 3 Goku's head in, haha. The effects in that third picture are astonishing. Make the ball energy effect green and I think it would go perfect with Broly.

Lime green and neon sound like really good choices. How are you going to decide? I'm bringing a picture of the movie with me and then just going to trial and error with the paint swatches.

I don't have sketches right now, but what I'm looking at now is...

A large burst effect, like what I showed with Frieza the other day.

A large upward blasting ground explosion

A charged up punch effect

And I'm trying to figure out a solid way to do a partial energy shield. That one is hard, but I'm close to figuring out a way to do it.

That large burst effect was really well done.

The charged up punch effect looks really cool. That reminds me of Scouter Vegeta...

Energy shield? How about a half sphere that you place in front of the character? With a partial smooth finish and then a lightning effect similar to this?

And, for the back, a separate piece, you can create an energy surge like this...

I usually look up a picture online and compare that with the paint and if I'm uncertain I buy the 2 that are the closest and let them dry on a paper plate before deciding since sometimes the paint could dry darker or lighter depending on the type of paint.

And yeah I'm eyeballin that effect on ebay with the link that was provided. But I'm waiting to see what can of beams does first. From what I'm reading I'm loving some of those ideas.

I was just about to bring that up here lol I'm glad that they are gonna reissue SS Vegeta because I've been thinking about one more to keep as is out of the box should Tamashii ever make an Android 19.

I'm thinking of doing a huge green one for Broly, but I'm concerned about weight issues with the stand.
I'm still debating what all to offer for him. I'm a little disappointed in the three pieces he got being the same remolded ball from Frieza.

I would like to have this:

It's a layered ball, a ball within a ball within ball within a ball

The space between each layer can be done by controlling the thickness of the plastic for each layer. In order for anything to still be visible, each layer would have to be more transparent as we approach the center.

Also those light beams that emit from the ball would be cool too (like what normal Goku came with)

Alex Blas on the facebook page posted that pic that Angelo posted. From what I gather he is a distributor for figuarts and the information came from him. My guess is the conversation is with the Datong company.
