They really should just make Dragonball toys regular releases like the Sailor Moon toys (I think they're regular, they get re-issued often lol) :) Dragonball's just TOO popular all over the world for it to be just a limited type of release all the time. There will always be people who will buy Dragonball toys, especially people who grew up in the 80s and 90s where Dragonball became a huge part of their childhood and teenage years :)

So I know no one cares about these guys anymore since that dumptruck of glorious information spilled yesterday but I found this interesting. Judging by these pics, SSGSS Goku and Vegeta seem to have the same type of blue paint and it's NOT metallic. The metallic look may have been caused by lighting cuz here they both look glossy more than anything. It looks similar in style to how the new SSJ hair is looking. Flat paint, glossy look, with VERY light shading. This is good in my eyes since there will be more consistency within the line. I can only hope they do Advanced Coloring for the rest of the Super Saiyans. Tamashii making me proud :monkey2

IS this actually now 100% confirmed? I have missed the source for this if it is... Like are we ACTUALLY getting a fully NORMAL DBZ release again? Cause that means they'll make a TON of those things, that is AWESOME, no worry about securing one.

For me it's confirmed.

After check many Japanese and Chinese pages I realized that little detail of "exclusivity" untranslated, when TBlake put the link that includes a link to the page of Shonen Jump, I mentioned and it seems that no one read me :lol

That was the first sign, the second was that the cards of SSGSS Vegeta and Beerus not have the logo of exclusivity, so I hope that these figures are also regular.

The third sign is that in the special section of the Tamashii's page with images of the SS Goku SWA is not the logo of the TWS.

A non-exclusive figure has a percentage discount on Japanese online shops.

Bardoon: nice to read you again.

I agree with you from a fan perspective, but from a logical, business viewpoint, I say keep the rest of the line "Web Exclusive" as they have been with the occasional "popular" releases (like this Awakened SSJ Goku) being regular releases.

I'm not going to re-iterate the whole story as we've all discussed it before, but basically from MY experience, discussions with toy professionals and knowledge, not having product in retail stores is not ideal for most manufacturers, especially toy companies. It is usually not good for sales for certain lines as the target audience commonly shops at retail and not online. That has changed in recent years but still somewhat holds true according to the professionals I've spoken to in the past. We're even LUCKY at this point that Bandai-Tamashii continued the Dragon Ball Figuarts line with "Web Exclusive" as I'd wager it was VERY close to complete cancellation.

However, if we're going to have the regular releases again, it's certainly a hugely POSITIVE move both for Bandai-Tamashii and the Dragon Ball Figuarts line. It also reflects Bandai's growing confidence in Dragon Ball again. But I would do the regular releases slowly and with selective figures as opposed to go strong with all subsequent releases being "regular". The line has done very well being "Web Exclusive" and there's no reason to change all that.

Just change that damn "Web Exclusive" re-release rule. :rotfl

Okay, thanks for the recap man! Wow so possibly the RoF figures too aye?

Also, I don't know who claimed a smirk isn't typical of Goku a long while back, cause I'm watching long stretches of the show from all eras and I see him smirk all the ****ing time. Still want a goku smirking face, and the god goku smirk can gtfo.:lol

That settles it, thats definitely based off his BoG colour scheme. His armor lines are far more accentuated in that film than beforehand.

Completely agree:

That figure will look good fighting Beerus.

I hope so friend, the signals are there ;)

Thanks man, always enjoy discussing DBZ with my fellow Freaks here like yourself. Always solid, constructive conversations! I was out of the country for a little while but now I'm back in the good ol' US of A. :flag

I learned a lot from you and other dear friends in this thread, I'm grateful :)

Thanks again Orbital! I never knew I was teaching anything! :lol

So...one thing I noticed, I guess the official name for the new "Blue Saiyan" form is "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" since we see all this official merchandise being labeled with it! :lol

Do you think bandai will make colour qdvance into what figures? Because vgta and trunks hair not like it if is metallic. I prefer like old vegeta and trunks hair.

I would not like they make other adv colour from characters that we already have and is not necessary.

We trust anime-island correct? I want to PO my god Goku and gold Frieza from there.
Yes anime island is good:) I have my goku and freezer preorder there and got my vegeto and Gohan reissue from there no problems:)

That one rule is very likely what made it sell. They did that as a last ditch effort to get collectors to invest in them before they were gone and it at least appears to have worked.

If anything though, Battle of Gods I would attribute to MOST of the resurgence of the brand. The new movie and series are only going to carry this brand into the next 5+ years most likely! As long as they don't completely ****** up Super. Not like GT was a complete ****** up, it had good designs, but the dialogue and a lot of the animation was just cringe worthy. While the Baby Saga saw SS4 for the first time, it's the WORST of the series.

I have a Celty Sturluson on order with them too.

Also got in my Perfect Cell tonight! He looks amazing. Now I just hope they'll eventually make a imperfect and base version of Cell. ( Maybe with a Larva Cell Accessory )

Just to clarify 4 of the releases so far have been web exclusives for Sailor Moon. Though it's interesting that we're finally a regular Figuart release for DBZ after all these years.

With BD Goku to be released in November and Vegeta and Trunks in the next two months after, when is it likely that we'll see the preorders go up? Overseas sites will have them up before sites like bbts and Amazon ofc

July 2nd for Vegeta

I don't have a SS Goku, so this new battle damage one is perfect. Now I can have the best of both. I just hope I can head swap with regular Goku. It'd be pure evil if Bandai somehow changed the neck peg for this figure.

The july 2nd date is only for ss vegeta. Tamashi nations hasn't specified when the others open up for preorder yet.
