I agree with you from a fan perspective, but from a logical, business viewpoint, I say keep the rest of the line "Web Exclusive" as they have been with the occasional "popular" releases (like this Awakened SSJ Goku) being regular releases.
I'm not going to re-iterate the whole story as we've all discussed it before, but basically from MY experience, discussions with toy professionals and knowledge, not having product in retail stores is not ideal for most manufacturers, especially toy companies. It is usually not good for sales for certain lines as the target audience commonly shops at retail and not online. That has changed in recent years but still somewhat holds true according to the professionals I've spoken to in the past. We're even LUCKY at this point that Bandai-Tamashii continued the Dragon Ball Figuarts line with "Web Exclusive" as I'd wager it was VERY close to complete cancellation.
However, if we're going to have the regular releases again, it's certainly a hugely POSITIVE move both for Bandai-Tamashii and the Dragon Ball Figuarts line. It also reflects Bandai's growing confidence in Dragon Ball again. But I would do the regular releases slowly and with selective figures as opposed to go strong with all subsequent releases being "regular".
The line has done very well being "Web Exclusive" and there's no reason to change all that.
Just change that damn "Web Exclusive" re-release rule.
