I would definitely recommend the stage 4 stands over the stage 5 stands for DBZ Figuarts. I believe the stage 5 ones are intended for the Robot Spirits (Gundam) line and those figures are lighter. The stage 5 has a big fat arm which I find ugly tbh and the shape of the actual base makes them prone to tipping with heavier figures. With the big fat arm there is less range of motion becauseit has one of those "clicky" joints where it will only move to ppredetermined positions. Also, if you want your figures in "high-flying" poses the way the arms work on the stage 4 stans is much better. Attaching an extension piece to the top of the fat arm of the stage 5 stands (in my experience) ends up cracking the female part of the smaller arm. My favorite stands are the Saint Seiya ones that come with effect parts as well.

I'm fairly sure it's just prototype pics...remember the final versions of these figures are never the same. Even the accessories vary like that kamehaha effect Son Goku had.

Yeah they just kind of look like knockoffs or something... I need to see some comparison pics before I dive into getting either one. I'm not a completest so I just want one of each and preferably would want them to all match. I don't even care for the SDCC recolored ones.

I don't understand why Goku and Piccolo are being reissued 2-3 times but Vegeta and Trunks are getting the shaft.

I think "Advanced Color" was a bad name for these repaints. They should've chosen a name that was more suitable.

Honestly, why all the complaining? Just last year we were told they would NOT get any sort of rerelease at all, so we are extremely lucky they are even doing so. Seriously people, be happy with what you get, because you could quite simply not have gotten it at all.

I can only speak for myself, but a poor use of the molding isn't something I consider a re release. These are fine for what they are and I'm sure there is a segment that will appreciate them but I don't. They look poor atm. Will reserve judgement until we get pics of something that looks to be a production sample!

Thats not what im getting irritated at, its the fact that everyone seems to be complaining about the obvious prototypes as opposed to the official pics, at least in Vegetas case! His official release pics look far better than the shiny prototype.

Vegeta's hair still looks greasy in the official pics. Plus this is the Internet. People are gonna complain, dude.
I'm still buying multiples of both but I feel like they could have done a few minor things to make the figures perfect. IMO that is extra hard for Trunks because the original was nearly perfect to begin with. With Vegeta I was really hoping we were going to get the paint job shown on the original proto. But we're not and I will still buy it.

I wouldn't call it complaining as much as constructive criticism since we are giving recommendations with our complaints

Its not "greasy" its reflective. Its meant to convey them surrounded in aura, which to me makes perfect sense.

Did they remove the painted lines from the yellow part of his armor too, vegito style? Or maybe the pic's showing up too small on my iPod.

Maybe the figure will look better in person. The main reason they're even doing this is because they're giving in to the demands for them to reissue Trunks & Vegeta and satisfy those that missed out. Although they can't please everybody; it's unrealistic to think everyone should be happy & have no complaints whatsoever. And it would be hella boring if we were all in agreement all the time about everything they release. It's good to have debates and read different viewpoints from time to time. It comes with the territory of collecting.

I can't speak for others but I know I frequent this forum to speak my mind about the figures we get, read news about them and get other people's opinions. Like crisis said it would be boring if we all agreed about everything all the time. I don't understand why you're getting your panties in a bunch, big d.

It just seems that when any good piece of news comes out we have to pick it apart and make it out to be bad thing somehow, I mean, we went from, a few days ago, being amazed and happy that all this stuff is happening, to now "eww the colours are off! its too shiny!, he doesnt have any cat scratches!", its just bizarre! I will leave it be, cool?
