I feel so unoriginal now.
Its not "greasy" its reflective. Its meant to convey them surrounded in aura, which to me makes perfect sense.

Waiting for an Advance Vegeta? Why wait. Simply buy a Datong Vegeta and a greasy bucket of KFC and dip him in it
An Advance Color has been duplicated

I, Shadow3fade, hereby approve this message and take no responsibility on how greasy your figure might turn out.
Actually he IS accurate, to the manga at least. For him to be 100% accurate to the anime, his gi would have to be the same color as SDCC Namek Goku too.
(Un)fortunately it is just the manga version, guys. Get ready for an "advanced colour SDCC anime colored exclusive mexican extra version" next year.
Yes the colors are wrong, but is an anime colors figure, all the manga colors figures with these boots has the cordons painted with gray (like in the illustration that Havok put), the colors of boots of this figure comes from the SCE version:
REALLY wish they'd make the anime their standard instead of the manga...
Since they're always reissuing Piccolo, what they could do is include his Special Beam Cannon

..what a waste -_-
Isn't that what they tried to do that with the SS3 Goku? And we all know how that turned out and what a lot of people think of it.Its not "greasy" its reflective. Its meant to convey them surrounded in aura, which to me makes perfect sense.

I don't think they'd want to make a new box for a reissue

Sorry I couldn't help myself

Maybe the figure will look better in person. The main reason they're even doing this is because they're giving in to the demands for them to reissue Trunks & Vegeta and satisfy those that missed out. Although they can't please everybody; it's unrealistic to think everyone should be happy & have no complaints whatsoever. And it would be hella boring if we were all in agreement all the time about everything they release. It's good to have debates and read different viewpoints from time to time. It comes with the territory of collecting.
Come on folks, you all know me long enough to know I dont "get my panties in a bunch" (troll ) over very much. It just seems that when any good piece of news comes out we have to pick it apart and make it out to be bad thing somehow, I mean, we went from, a few days ago, being amazed and happy that all this stuff is happening, to now "eww the colours are off! its too shiny!, he doesnt have any cat scratches!", its just bizarre! I will leave it be, cool?
I'm just happy I have a chance at getting an official vegeta! AND TRUNKS!

That end just totally confused me.Oh yeah, here's a scanlated and clearer version of Dragonball Super manga's first chapter -> Dragon Ball · SPECTRUM NEXUS
I think we're seeing excessive "nitpicking" because we just got like 8 (exaggeration... or maybe not now that I think about it...) new figure announcements. If they come with super glossy hair I'll just coat it in matte finish. If I feel like Goku needs "cat scratches" (which at the moment I dont) I'll bust out the sand paper and some black and red paint. This is one reason I buy at least 2 sometimes 3 of each figure now. Keep one clean, one in box and the other gets some touching up. I'm pretty sure part of being a collector/fan of something is griping over "what should have been".
What's wrong with a little complaining? Doesn't that happen often around here, especially when new figures are shown? I think we're just sharing our thoughts about the figures and having some fun at the same. There are things I don't like about the figure, but still gonna get them. I was just expecting them to be equal to or greater than the originals, which for some people that may be the case. Who knows, maybe some of us change our minds once we get our hands on the figures and can compare them side-by-side.
