Exactly. Dragon Ball is filled with crazy power jumps and inconsistencies, canon or not. If we try to make sense out of everything we'll drive ourselves insane.

I never understood the whole super 17 thing at all. How can two identical androids that are, lets be honest, less than ascended saiyan level, be merged into something that ssj4 struggles with? That just doesnt make sense to me. That sort of thing is exactly why GT can jump off a cliff imo

Is the same like say, how the h3// goten and trunks turn ssj with7 8 years old and then, make fussion d get ssj3??????. Seen that way, make more sense s-17, but i understand you.

Same. The first season was terrible and I think it's what gave GT it's horrible reputation. Going from DBZ to a more goofy Dragon Ball style right off the bat was a huge mistake. Should've started with Baby or Super 17 Saga first and just eliminated the Black Star Saga altogether.

Those first few episodes are quite a pain to get through.

It's another good height comparison picture! Burter is pretty tall and his shoulder pads are ****ing wide, too. I think he would be very close to Broly's hair height because he's bald. Recoome's butt in the air should be another display similar to Yamcha's death from the Saiyan Saga.

I always felt the Baby saga was good in theory. A descendant of the Tuffles wanting revenge on the Saiyans for taking over their homeworld. A simple, yet effective story arc. The execution, however..

That's actually a great example. Marvel is doing exactly what I think Toei will do. Marvel has elimated all of its alternate timelines and is combining them into one new universe, geared at making the new comics more accessible to new readers (I'm reading Secret Wars and it's so much fun. Highly recommended). DC is doing the same thing fairly soon. We've seen Toriyama already re-write a bit of the canon with new comics. There's going to be pressure on him to conconcile 30 years of Dragon Ball into a series of linear events. I don't think this will effect the old movies, but I can't see it boding well for GT. But I bet if if GT lives on, it'll be in collector's lines like these. Imo, if we see new GT merch anywhere, it'll be in figuarts. I didn't mean to burst your bubble, Ang. Like I said before, I hope for your sake that red furry bastard is on the bench waiting to be called onto the field. It's just producing new GT stuff, from a marketing pov, just doesn't make sense to me.

Tamashii, and other manufacturing companies, just need the approval from Toei to produce it. That's why I'm not worried about Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Toei hasn't done anything with GT since it was over other than Dragon Ball Heroes. (Edited: I could be wrong about that because I don't know much about Dragon Ball Heroes but I just know that's where Super Saiyan 4 Broly appeared.) I'm not expecting new material but they have the licensing for GT and they're sure as hell going to make a profit from it though rather than toss it aside. (Which is what I'm worried about what Marvel is doing with the X-line.)

I understand what you're saying but I just don't see Toei trying to pretend that GT never happened specifically in product lines. I haven't seen any evidence that would make me believe that the products determine the popularity of the line instead of the opposite.

Mann height requirements in Dragon Ball have always been controversial. There's always varying charts & even official sources switch heights up all the time. I don't think we'll ever know concrete heights like so-and-so is 6'4" and so-and-so is 5'10". I think the best explanation is simple: when asked, the best answer will always be "Vegeta is always shorter than Goku, adult Gohan is about the same height as Goku, King Vegeta is always taller than Vegeta, Broly is always taller than Piccolo, etc." and just go from there. Bringing exact numbers into it can get real confusing and contradictory.

You know, I don't even know why I mention an official height chart. I'm aware of the inconsistency. Granted, you are correct. The Heights and the colors of GIs and skin tones always change in the DB world. I wasn't looking for a spot on inch by inch answer, only in search of how tall someone is compared to others. Just to get a general ideal if you will.

Super 17 is the dumbest peace of sheit I have ever seen. Two ANDROIDS LINE UP BEHIND ONE ANOTHER AND FUSE. That is just fu^cking stupid. If they're ****ing androids how can they fuse? It's not like buu or cell who gets strong by absorbing the person they lined up behind each other , like the fu^ck. if they would have did the fusion dance it would have been better. To me the fusion dance is like two equally strong bodies of water like rivers, combining and flowing into each other to make an even stronger or bigger river .

Nah Goku said something like that in fusion reborn. When he showed fusion to Vegeta. Also I'm not mad about continuity (though it is important to me) I just don't like how super 17 came about. An evil alien or future dr. D (I don't know) who looks some how JUST LIKE dr. D makes an android just like 17 to fuse with 17? Why not just make a stronger better Android. And then of course 17 kills his creator.

I'm most familiar with the Buu Saga. I always would catch glimpses of the Android and Cell Sagas every time my family went to Ecuador. I think it was the only saga they played there since it was the only one I ever saw on tv
