I'm actually just going to keep my Datong Super Saiyan Vegeta figures in the Android Saga display. I don't really like taking Datong pieces and putting them on Tamashii pieces, or vice versa, but that would be the only way for me to get a proper Android Saga Super Saiyan Vegeta appearance. I'll buy as many recolors as I have Datongs to even out the purchases though and then some. I really like seeing Trunks' heads on Super Saiyan Vegeta bodies.

Does the extra face add anything to the inside packaging? That's why I was thinking they would make a new box for it rather than the original box. Otherwise I would imagine the distinctive color, SDCC logo, and Funimation sticker.

Are you? I really like the colored boot tip look. It reminds me of Bulma and Cell Saga.

They just altered slightly the inner packaging for the new face but measures the same as the 2014 figure.

Are you? I really like the colored boot tip look. It reminds me of Bulma and Cell Saga.

Holy ****, I didn't even notice the figure in the box! My apologies! That looks amazing.

I know what you mean. That would have be a great addition to the figure but it takes a lot away, or rather doesn't give it enough, when it's just painted over. I'm hoping Tamashii changes that on Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta at least. I understand that you can't change the sculpt for recolor editions but Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta needs the hair and boots detailed. I'm hoping that's the reason they haven't announced him yet because they're working on altering those parts.

Hmm, not changing up the packaging is surprising considering we at least got a different colored box. I was sorta hoping we'd get something similar to the Anime colors Sailor Moon, her box is really nice. But whatever, it's a box. Unlike other collectors I'm not gonna lose sleep over a mere box

Oooh $45 for SDCC Goku I'll definitely get one or two I'll go make that Goku fight Frieza while the other one will be my emergency reserve. I sure hope the SDCC box will be as awesome as the Mexican Goku's box I don't really care much about box art, but for an exclusive release, they might as well make it look special (My favorite Figuarts Dragonball box art is Perfect Cell's, I love green lol)

Oh $45 is actually a nice deal, it's basically the original's price and you're paying $5 for the face. Not bad at all. I also looked up some pics on Name Goku, and apparently it seems like the clam shell is actually different compared to what we may be getting...going off that box pic we got anyway

That alteration was really well done. That's what I first noticed about the picture. I didn't even think of looking what was inside the box.

I'm hoping Tamashii will do a repeat of double releases and release Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta and Beerus together. Just to get the Resurrection F figures out right away and focus on where the line was going prior to the Resurrection F releases.

I'm so glad that I get to finally use Final Form Frieza in displays! Who knew that three Goku figures released back-to-back would accomplish that!

Here's a side-by-side of Future Trunks. I tried to find pictures that had him in a similar pose and this was the best I could come up with. It works really well if you save them and press the arrow back and forth.

Edited: If the blue on the recolor is as bright as it appears, I'm going to use that body for Super Saiyan Trunks. I'm thinking the brighter color could refer to the Super Saiyan aura.

That's what I was thinking of doing. Have one version be the normal Trunks and the other the SSJ Trunks. Same thing for Vegeta (One using the extra head from Scouter). I think it will look okay since we already have that with the Goku's. And it will work even better with those aura effects.

Last year, I never would've expected that I'd end up trying to buy every Dragonball Figuarts toy there is (trying doesn't guarantee success, sigh). All I wanted was just one SSJ Goku toy to display (and play with) on my "characters of toys from childhood" shelf. Somehow, the trigger got pulled in my mind to "just get them all!" lol X_X If only these weren't so expensive :O Thank goodness Vegeta and Trunks are getting "Advanced Colors", no way can I afford the originals now lol Because of this line, I forced myself to learn how to sell on Ebay... I'm actually saying goodbye to one of my Datong Vegetas. Oh well, we had some fun times lol If only Ebay would index my item listing already grrrr

It happens to most of the people who have recently got into this line. Quite a few of those people end up selling everything later on, too.

Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Scouter Vegeta, Krillin, and Broly. I started after xmas last year. Got Vegeta for xmas and loved him so much I went for more.
I don't really have the room or much interest to have doubles of Goku. I only want my favorite Goku and that's Namek. I will be picking up the new Vegeta tho (I was so close to buying the datong one) and of course that Trunks. I'm so pumped for that one.

Now that I think about it, I'll be able to have regular Goku with no effect, SSJ with the aura effect, SSJ2 with the electricity effect, SSJ3 with his effect, SSJG Goku with red flame effect, and maybe SSGSS Goku with the blue flame effect. Dang that's gonna be a lot of Gokus and effects parts.

I don't really have the room or much interest to have doubles of Goku. I only want my favorite Goku and that's Namek. I will be picking up the new Vegeta tho (I was so close to buying the datong one) and of course that Trunks. I'm so pumped for that one.

I remember asking everybody who their first figure was and I believe the majority of them said Vegeta and they were hooked from there. It really does make you hooked onto the line though with that first purchase.

What do you think of SDCC Exclusive Frieza Saga Goku and Super Awakening Warrior Goku?

I bought the Datong because I never thought Tamashii would go through with the reissues/recolors. I'm glad they proved me wrong. I bit the bullet and bought Future Trunks last year, don't regret it at all, but held off on Super Saiyan Vegeta. I couldn't justify paying $200+ for the figure because it was such a basic figure. I actually even passed on a $160 chance of buying him last year and told crisis to get it.

I was actually thinking normal Goku would work well with the blue aura effect. Ultimate Gohan, too. They're base forms but no Super Saiyan yellow aura.

You know you're going to have to take that picture when you put that display together, right? Haha.
