We may see updates like revised prototypes...God knows what they could reveal at this point to blow us all away.

A new head sculpt and detailed boots for Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta would make me very happy. That's all I could really ask for at this point from the previous prototypes they've shown.

Shenron did get resurrected, bet nobody was expecting that. nobody can say anything for sure, because none of us work for them (although there might be a mole or 2 amongst our ranks.....). What we DO know for certain, is that Tamashii throws curveballs & we just don't know what to expect from them next. Everything else anybody says is just guesses & opinions.

Years ago, if you were to give a suggestion here that Tamashii should consider retooled variants for their SDCC EX, most if not all of us would respond with "Not gonna happen, the EX will always be STRICTLY repaints, take a seat." A couple years ago when someone asked if it's possible we would get battle-damaged S.H. Figuarts, we would respond with "Absolutely not, that's what the Figuarts ZERO line is for. Sit down, son." In 2013 when someone asked if we would ever see SSj4 Goku, we responded with "lol keep dreaming, GT isn't even on their radar. Keep training with King Kai noob."

Look at where we're at now. Anything can happen at this point.

yes new proto but not reveal. n at this point they have revealed everyone.

Even a prototype would be considered new. Hell, a picture of an upcoming figure would be new. We don't really know that they've revealed everyone. Technically, Whis is still missing. He's a major character now. They're not just gonna present everything we've seen and call it a day. They've gotta have something saved for SDCC. Even if it's just one figure, it's something. They're definitely not done with us. There's still plenty of milk left in the DBZ cow for this year.

Edit: I'm so certain we'll see something new (prototype, picture, etc.), I'll bet one of my Trunks figures on it

Exactly, nicely put.

I like how it went from "take a seat," to "Sit down, son," to "Keep training with King Kai noob."

I don't believe that matters in this situation. I can't imagine a company like Toei would ignore, or even eliminate, a target market just to support another one. They can accomplish both at the same time because the GT line is still profitable for Toei. It would be different if there was no interest in the GT line from fans/collectors.

That's exactly what I would expect them to do. The market for GT doesn't even compare to the DBZ market. That's what toei is riding on all the way into Super: the popularity of DBZ. I would fully expect toei to act as if GT no longer exists (that's for all products across the board, including toys, games, blu-ray collections, etc). It won't be a big "we're done with GT" announcement, you'll just see GT kind of slip away. On the same note, all of this DBZ Heroes nonsense is probably gonna be wrapped up as well. These types of alternate-reality media are fine when no new official media is being produced, but now that DB is back in full swing, toei is gonna want to keep a through-line for new fans to follow.

EDIT:

This isn't just our thing anymore. Now it'll also belong to a whole new generation of sniveling snot monsters, for better or worse.

Deal. (Screenshotted!) :lol

Anyways, I do believe we'll see at least ONE prototype. Even if it's in the earliest stage possible but only painted. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Beerus, and (yes, even) Jaco were all surprises. People may have guessed them, similar to what crisis was talking about, be the only ones we actually KNEW about before they were revealed/shown were Awakening Goku, Super Saiyan Vegeta (recolor), and Future Trunks (recolor.)

Hey I hope your right I'd love to see something new there, but showing vegetto last year after we had already seen him isn't new to me lol.

Thats just it though, im positive we hadnt seen him before, I can still remember the horrifying ssj face on the prototype. The next time we seen him at nycc he had the black hair iirc.

I completely disagree. They're not going to eliminate that market, they're just going to simply add to it. It would be different if GT wasn't profitable for Toei. They're going to treat it no different than DC treats any of their Elseworlds or Marvel treats their Ultimate universe. (I understand the irony of the latter since they're actually merging them together or something.)

When I say new, I mean a completely different figure, no updates (Vegito was just an update), just to be clear lol. My Trunks is at stake here, that's bae :monkey3

Ang called dibs so it'll go to him if I'm wrong (in a nicely packaged box with a ribbon on top). It's a pretty safe bet, so that's the only reason I'd consider it :lol

Speaking of San Diego Comic Con, what question would each of you want to ask Adam Newman?

(The Tamashii/Bandai representative that has been in the videos answering the interviewer questions.)

He's ****ing tall. Taller than Nappa. Maybe only slightly shorter than Broly.

Seeing him in the Frieza sage, him bringing his beastly tall size with him, made him seem alittle more taller than he actually was. Havn't seen it in some time so my memory is kinda cloudy. I think we can all admit when he first appeared, we was all like " Dats one tall ni**a.
Do we have a size chart or anything like that.

For GT enoguh Goku Ssj4, Vegeta Ssj4, Gogeta Ssj4, Super-17 and Omega-Shenlong. Just 5, and maybe all dragons (4 star i think will be obliged). But I would not get it.
Dragon Ball GT had dragons? Completely forgot all about that. I don't remember their story in it.

Broly is likely the biggest character in dragonball, so Burter and Recoome wouldnt be all that impressive. I can see them getting the same treatment as #16 honestly.

I don't know what it was about 16 but his figure can still be found for dirt cheap. Was his character disliked or something or did people simply didn't appreciate the size Tamashii made him in? For me, his character was brief but made one of the biggest impacts in DragonBall Z.

How did you get your job working for Tamashii Nations and are they currently hiring?

But for reals, will there be any more Advanced Coloring and battle damaged figures in the near future?

Dragon Ball is way too big of a franchise for Tamashii to ever let go of. Now that the line is fully charged they're gonna take full advantage, which is why we got less-popular characters like Android 16 and now more releases/reveals than ever before. Kinda sorta a lil bit like how FOX is taking full advantage of the X-Men property. FOX has the crown jewel of arguably the best Superhero team Marvel has ever produced, above all others. Marvel Studios is never gonna get the rights back. They would have to produce a straight-up bomb for them to open negotiations with Marvel Studios, and the last time I checked each X-Men film has always been profitable. But that's a whole other discussion..

YES thats my point veggeto was an update (new face). But not a new reveal. I think reveals are DONE!!!! lol
U talking about advance color trunks? Or show a whole new trunks??? cause if so thats wishful thinking lmao. Dont wanna burst anyones bubble but SDCC has never been the place for new reveals, think the only new reveal EVER at SDCC was that Shenron

This is really the only picture where I've seen comparisons to other characters...

Yeah, each Dragon Ball released a Shenron, I believe oppositely, based on the wishes made throughout the series. Which is the reason the only non-evil dragon was Nouva because his wish was made by King Piccolo.

He's the only Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuart that I've seen go down in price.
