It's so weird at this point...they could just literally re-use the SSJ body, not even repaint it and just give a new head sculpt and halo piece...

They have LOVED double dipping Goku's body multiple times... there's no reason for them not to be able to do SS2.

I remember asking everybody who their first figure was and I believe the majority of them said Vegeta and they were hooked from there. It really does make you hooked onto the line though with that first purchase.

What do you think of SDCC Exclusive Frieza Saga Goku and Super Awakening Warrior Goku?

I suppose that's what I meant what I said Namek Goku, the sdcc one. I'm not gonna even try to snag mexigoku. I think awakening Goku is incredible. I think he'd look better displayed on his own or with other battle damaged figures (which seem inevitable at this point). So if I picked him up he'd probably be lonely. But he is the definitive super saiyan Goku.

I'd ask if you're gonna get him but I'm just assuming that everyone on this board will pick him up.

One thing I'd love to see are accesory packs which include extra heads, blast fx, etc. It doesn't really seem tamashii's style but I love that type of thing in other lines.

Just include a ssj2 hairpiece with majin vegeta. I don't see why that has to be a separate goku release.

@Fat For what it's worth, our very own oldest posting member Wolvie asked them directly at sdcc whether they'd ever do this and they wouldn't, as was the answer last year. Others might say 'they've done **** they wouldn't do before', well actually, what have they done that they explicitly SAID they wouldn't do? I can't think of an example, everything was expectancy based. I'm gonna assume it's not in the cards if they give such a strong simple "no".

Yeah I get that, I'm just spit balling ideas. Although I think a Cell Junior crew would look neat with Cell... even though they're essentially Saibamen on steroids.

Yeah, my collection was never going to be complete with SDCC Super Saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta missing so I have no problem skipping MexiGoku. Especially since he's the SDCC Exclusive.

I agree. That is a very definitive and iconic look for Super Saiyan Goku. Tamashii ****ing nailed it with that sculpt. I plan on displaying him with Final Form Frieza for awhile. Frieza can look slightly battle damaged with the tail and the face so I'm hoping they'll fit in naturally.

Ha, yeah definitely. He may be the one figure that EVERYBODY has in their collection.

I'm hoping Tamashii can get around that with battle damaged figures now. Release a new battle damaged Piccolo with a special beam cannon energy effect and different heads. Maybe a smirking face. A shouting face looking straight. People can pick up the reissue for the special beam cannon head.

Yeah, great finds orbital, and like i said, higher rez pics make Vegeta and Trunks look much better. Its obvious Vegeta is based on his BoG/Super colors, so they are killing two birds with one stone with the advanced color release. Trunks is much brighter and almost manga-esque in color? Guess we will see when we see his normal hair. I dont think I need to add anything about Goku do I? [emoji38]

Edit: I do [emoji14] look at Gokus upper legs, they look segmented where they connect to the hips, think thats to give even more movement?

Yes I see it, good catch Ang! Thats a new take on the design. Maybe thats so they dont need the pull down gimmick for wider stances?

Also, I know we already decided his blue wasnt removable, but the more I see it the more it doesnt seem molded to the chest but instead stuck to it. I dunno, there are slight gaps in the blue and even if it isnt officially removable i think it could be hacked.

The best thing about the Awakened Super Warrior is that, I believe, it's the final product since they have three of them out for display rather than just the one prototype.
