I'm really surprised Anime Island still has the free shipping up today with the new DBZ pre-orders! I thought for sure they'd list them the day after. Pre-ordered the Vegeta and Goku

I only order goku though so that wouldve been 5 dollars,
I'm just SOO used to that **** not applying to me being outside north america that I don't even pay attention to it.

Hmm, I think the reason why Android 16 is still in stock in a lot of places, and even went down in price (he was originally $61 I think, on Amazon he's $52), is that he never really got to fight that much, aside from Cell. Before and after that, he was pretty much just a huge observer and then finally, Gohan's "Krillin" (as in he got crushed by Cell, which gave Gohan the much needed push to power up).
Maybe it's also because of Android 16's personality. He's the type to just sit around petting animals and doing nothing while others fight for their lives. On the other hand, I think secondary characters like Nappa would sell more because he was Vegeta's partner, and his personality is quite interesting. No Dragonball collection will ever be complete without a screaming Nappa who's surprised about somebody's power levels lol
Yamcha, Tien, and Roshi, despite not getting many heroic moments, would still sell because they were integral characters in the original Dragonball series. Not only that, even in Dragonball Z, Yamcha was still pretty much a fun character to see get beaten around, and Tien is just a human badass with charisma. Android 16 just didn't have the personality to capture some fans' imagination. He's supposed to be a villain, but he's also a good guy. That conflict could've worked if the story was just right, let's say if he actually got to fight Goku, but his love for nature and animals would prevent him from going all out even though he's programmed to kill Goku with all he's got. Too bad he just became a power-up for Gohan eventually.

Good insight. Personally I was never a fan of Android 16. He had a few epic moments but he was kinda wack to me. Add to that the height inconsistency and he's not a very desirable figure, at least compared to the others.
As far as the minor characters go, we could look at how Krillin sold and see how the rest would sell. Krillin didn't really sell out and his price hasn't inflated to epic proportions yet. Tien is probably just as popular or slightly more/less popular than Krillin so he would probably sell the same or slightly better. Yamcha on the other hand isn't that popular, let's be honest. He will sell for less than Krillin and Yamcha, hence why he needs to be released alongside a companion character, like Tien or Nappa, Android 20 (lol), Saibamen, etc. Tamashii wants to make what sells first, so the minor characters will always get the shaft, BUT they will come. Eventually.

On Android 16, I think they made him to complete the "trio" of the Artificial Humans. They could've easily skipped him otherwise. If that's the case, then they should also complete the trio of Saiyajins; Napper & Raditz still remain. I'm even willing to bet a prototype of Raditz has existed within Tamashii HQ for several years now (and not that Figuarts Zero they showed already). As well as many, many other prototypes of characters they're reluctant to show off. Napper is the exception, he was leaked by "accident" & they've been hush-hush about it ever since.
