Cool display, Snake! What do you think of World Tour/SDCC Kaio-ken Goku?

I don't have many of my figures out but, since we've been talking about Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, I decided to get him out and pose him around. I wonder if Tamashii Nations is going to re-use the head sculpt for the Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black and 2.0 Super Saiyan/Blue Goku. I actually like the head sculpt a lot but I would be interested to see if a different paint application along with updated quality faces would make it look better or if it would need an updated sculpt.

I like it a lot, bar some QC issues with the paint. I think it's the best exclusive thus far since it's a relevant variant and not just a recolor.
 
The kanji symbols on his gi are different from the other version, yes?

I wanna mess around with a new display but I'm currently thousands of miles away from all my stuff
Anything I order online I won't see in person for at least several weeks, a couple months at most o_o
I'm on extended vacay
 
It's great to finally have a Goku to go with the original Scouter Vegeta. It's a shame that it's an event/convention exclusive but hopefully Tamashii Nations will release a different version in the future such as regular Goku or battle damaged Kaio-ken Goku.

Tamashii Nations hasn't shown a photo on Instagram so I don't think there's going to be any update to the Shonen Jump calendar.
 
Honestly I would of preferred BD Kaioken, but the fact they even did a Kaioken version is incredibly.

I wouldn't mind a SSB Kaioken either. But please, redo that stupidly small hair sculpt.
 
Battle damaged Kaio-ken Goku is still a possibility. They used that design for a Figuarts Zero version, I could easily see it being an S.H. Figuarts at some point.
 
although i wouldve preferred this kaiohken goku to be a repaint of the 2.0 body we are getting soon im glad we got it. I always wanted the figure with the turtle and kai symbol plus it came with the red aura effect which is awesome. I agree with angelo, i would love a battle damaged kaiohken x3 goku, it would be pretty easy actually. They they can reuse the SWA goku arms and retool the torso to have no shirt (many customisers have done it) and just paint the blue part of the ripped shirt on the hips to orange, then they can just use the SSJ3 goku 2.0 legs (since kkx3 goku didnt have ripped pants). If they really wanted to too they could just repaint the upcoming SSG goku head and faces for the release as well, and bam 2.0 BD kaiohken x 3 goku haha They have all the parts, im sure we'll have a customizer kitbash this someday as well.

Although atm i am somewhat satisfied with just the regular goku head on the SWA body as well. As far as the SSB hair sculpt goes i really like it, yeah it could be improved but it's not bad.
 
If they REALLY wanna cash in on the Saiyan Saga then they would make Raditz, and pair him up with these

Perfect opportunity to re-release Piccoro as a 2.0, and to finally include his Special Beam Cannon that they showed only once & literally threw it away in the garbage

Bingo. They love to re-use parts and Kaio-ken x3 Goku would be a great candidate for those parts.

I like it a lot, as well. It could certainly use an update but it was different at the time and very welcomed.

That specific Special Beam Cannon will never be released. I know how we should "never say never" with this line but I'm very positive that will never see a release. Some sort or Special Beam Cannon is possible though. 2.0 Piccolo will be a very expensive release though with that effect but if the collectors are willing to pay maybe Tamashii Nations will be willing to release it.

Hopefully Tamashii Nations will add a toddler Gohan with Saiyan Saga Goku similar to how they're releasing Chiaotzu with Tien. Preferably when he's busting out of the Saiyan pod in a fit of rage. Happy Gohan would be good too.

Tamashii Nations has been recently producing releases with longer hair such as Madara and Jiraiya from Naruto. Raditz' hair may not be as long as it should but I think it'll look really good once the prototype is revealed.
 
I've been thinking about this for awhile and I apologize to those who have brought this up but...

Is it me or does it seem that Tamashii Nations has been using Dragon Ball Xenoverse/2 as their design sources? Edited: For certain releases.

Edited: As expected, no Shonen Jump update.
 
Dunno if it's just me but I'm getting a little Vegeta fatigue here.

There are only 2 "brand new" Vegeta's we need to complete the set, Boo Saga/Majin & SS4. Anything else would be reissues/repaints or 2.0s of versions we already have. They also might do SSB Vegeta in his standard Saiyan armor [with the same hair mold again, only this time painted blue]

I guess they can also do Namek/Frieza battle outfit or that SS3 prototype, but who knows the status on those at this point

Badman Vegeta is also an outfit that we all desperately need. :p
