Took all my figures out of their boxes last night. Even opened up SDCC Piccolo and Frieza, that I grabbed at SDCC, for the first time.

Those bootlegs, they'll come in hand for customs.

Hot dang, brutal man! Btw, I might be mistaken, but do you perhaps make Play Arts Kai customs? There's a person I've seen customs from, either Arkham City or Mass Effect or both, that are awesome and I recall the username OPTICS. Not sure if that's you though.

Thanks! I didn't realize how much time I spent setting that up. Alot of it went to changing stands with my sentai figuarts since I only have 4 boxes of stands to work with for 28 figures. I don't use the stands that a few of the DBZ figures came with.... IDK why. Those stands for the dragonballs were meant for future PAK figure purchases. May need to grab some white ones.

Anyways, yeah, thats me. Still haven't messed with that Catwoman mold. She became Ashley though. I used the N7 helmet for one of my FemSheps. It just looks better her than that Infiltrator custom.

Your work on the mass effect stuff is just awesome. Sooooooooooo *lot of swear words* bummed out PAK cancelled the line. A PAK Liara or Thane would've just been the freakin best ever.

Oh yeah I'd seen that too, pretty cool, though it doesn't really resemble anything from the show. But still cool. They need to make something for DBZ specifically like this.

Cancelled? .... CANCELLED!? ... Thats news to me. I remember I started to work on a figuarts FemShep, but loss interest after a while. Then the PAK figures came out, so I scrapped that project.

True, I was expecting another set of prototypes at SDCC though, but sadly there was none. Maybe if they do continue with ME, it'd be a different scale and be based off of the new game.

That stage is pretty cool and I could easily picture it fitting in the DBZ universe as part of Kami's place or a tournament ring.

Those bootlegs make me weep lol; at least they arent good enough quality (yet) to con us into buying them instead of real ones.

Just to be safe, be more wary than ever of cheap priced Vegetas etc, you now do not know what you are getting.

I would highly appreciate anyone posting side by side images of Real and Bootleg Figuarts DBZ figures... Unfortunatly I see some new members coming to boast their deals only to find out they were screwed!

Im on phone or else I would do it; from what I can see the moulds look almost identical, bar the hands having reverse ball joints (possibly to stop the more brittle plastic from breaking); the paint job and sloppy packaging are a giveaway, and finally the box looks identical apart from the bandai logo is replaced by benda, which made me laugh.

If nothing else it looks like the super saiyan hair shading was done quite well; Trunks on the other hand...

I will also add that the figures with Vegeta etc dont appear to have moving legs beyond forward and back, and Gokus arms look like they have the same deal going on, the blue part on his arms is painted on and not part of the sleeve. Looks like they couldnt copy over the inner workings of the figures articulation with their brittle plastic so just compromised.

The sad part is that if Vegeta would have been painted properly instead of having a nappy on, I would have been hard pressed not to get one purely to have a body for Trunks.

1/12 scale most probably. But they are smaller about 1/4-1/2 inche from marvel legends figures. 5.5" figures depends on which characters
