He won't, pretty damn confirmed unless the actual product suddenly turns out different from any and all specimens we've seen in the wild at any time. And yes, that sucks. Congrats on getting Krillin though.

^that was hilarious dude :lol

b-but yeah.. about your wish-list. The sad thing is, I bet Tamashii has prototypes of all those characters & more, that will prolly never see the light of day :/

I'm glad you like you're Krillin blogness! It's a great figure!

I wish I knew what NSFW meant. I thought it might have been some cool organization from a TV show or movie. I should have looked it up first. I had my Vegeta next to me and I kind of want to hide my figures away right now.

108 days left till SDCC and get to see the new prototypes :drool

:monkey3

i'd be satisfied with these, although i would love to have fat buu, Mr. satan, master roshi, bulma and videl and place them as a little group behind the heroes

Awesome image! I would bve super happy if the next release after 17 is Kid Buu and we see his proto at SDCC. A Bills would be nice (although probably unlikely since BofG hasn't been officially dubbed). Then the only other figures I would probably get after that would be a roided out Majin Vegeta with a regular non-Majin head and a Saiyan Saga Goku that isn't a simple reuse of the current Goku mold.

You're right that those expressions happened in the series, and it wasn't completely out there, but I never like it except when Bulma did it. They did it a lot with Mr. Satan, Goku and Vegeta at the end of the Boo saga and I hated it! I was fine with the dancing, but it was too much for me, but I understand what you're saying! I still really like the movie, but always happy to be convinced to like things even more!
Thanks for that man. I completely agree with your opinion too. Personally, the way I see it, DB was originally meant to be a comedy series so infusing it with that trademark humor makes it far more appealing.

I love that Vegeta scene and prefer the Japanese voice acting. I think Sean Schemmel is great as Goku.
I have always watched DBZ with the Funi dub hence I always use to cringe at the thought of having Nozawa, a female, as the voice of Goku in the original *** dub. It was only recently that I decided to give thelatter a try and I now see why a majority of the fanbase thinks that Nozawa is Goku. Absolutely loved her.

Personally I'll always prefer Brian Drummond as the voice for Vegeta. It's the original from my childhood, and I'm sorry but there's just no beating this

Here's a good comparo. Brian nailed the infamous 'its over 9000' bit by......well, over 9000!!!!!!!!!!

anyhooo, dear people of bluefin if you're reading this
can you guys please make it possible to release all the characters (or most) in the following pic as figures
we'd be all so happy if you do!
You forgot to close your request with a Thank you! :wink1:

WTF was that supposed to be?! To this day I still cannot understand why anybody prefers Ocean dub over Funimation. Chris Sabat is Vegeta!
Agreed. Cuz as I mentioned, I grew up watching DBZ with the Funi dub. Although, I must say that Drummond has a more dry, sinister and wicked voice delivery over Sabat which suits the character.

Yes I realize ****rot is spelled wrong...
Also why is it sensoring ****rot?
****rot

i'd be satisfied with these, although i would love to have fat buu, Mr. satan, master roshi, bulma and videl and place them as a little group behind the heroes
Awesome. I loved the Broly and Raditz figures. Kid Trunks and Goten aren't bad either :clap

edit: yeaaaaah im changing what i posted. :
:rotfl :rotfl

I had my Vegeta next to me and I kind of want to hide my figures away right now.
Vegeta's fine. Just be wary of Woody

I hope you guys find this interesting! Here's a summary of the Gine story:

https://www.kanzenshuu.com/2014/04/06/dragon-ball-minus-with-gokus-mother-gine-officially-released/

The warrior race of the Saiyans, under the evil emperor Freeza, fight day and night to obtain many planets through force.

Bardock and another unidentified Saiyan destroy aliens on another planet. They suddenly receive a report on their scouters that all Saiyans have been ordered to return to Planet Vegeta. Bardock has misgivings about this and his partner questions it as well, badmouthing Freeza. Bardock tells him to take off his scouter or they will hear him. The two see Freeza’s ship hovering over the planet, and Bardock thinks they must have a hidden agenda.

They land at a settlement with crude houses and many other space pods. Another Saiyan greets Bardock, but he does not know what the order is about either. However, he has heard that Freeza’s forces heard about the “Super Saiyan” and that word of it is has been going around.

On his ship, Freeza mulls over this “Super Saiyan” and “Super Saiyan God” business. His attendant tries to reassure him that it is just a common heroic legend; Freeza says he knows this, but he must not even have a sliver of a doubt. Either way, the Saiyans are too proud and will never be his obedient dogs. It is a good time to destroy the entire planet. His attendant thinks it is a shame since they are excellent fighters. Freeza scoffs, then asks how much of the Saiyan race has arrived back. It will apparently take one more month for nearly all of the Saiyans to arrive, so Freeza decides to destroy the planet in one month’s time. If he is suspected by the remaining ones, he will just say that a giant meteor collided with the planet.

On another planet, Raditz asks Prince Vegeta if they should be getting back home. Vegeta says to leave it be; they will just pretend they did not hear the order.

Back on Planet Vegeta, Bardock makes his way along the settlement as the narration box explains there are only a few thousand Saiyans. As a warrior race, it would be difficult to increase their numbers (presumably, though left unsaid, because they would war with each other). Setting foot in one structure, Bardock greets Gine, who embraces him. She tells Bardock that Raditz is already a fighter, and is working with Prince Vegeta. Since they are far away, though, they have not returned yet.

Bardock asks if ****rrot is still in the incubator. He is, but it has been three years, so she will take him out soon. ****rrot has gotten big, and looks just like his father. Bardock looks long and hard at his son, then tells Gine he will steal a space pod tonight. They will send ****rrot to another planet. Gine questions Bardock, who reassures her that it is for ****rrot’s sake. Freeza seems to be planning something; he has a premonition of death. Even so, Gine says it is not like a Saiyan to worry about his children. Bardock shoots back that her “softness” disease spread to him, too.

Bardock shoulders the pod with a crying ****rrot as they take it to the launch site. Gine suggests they all run away, but Bardock says it is no use since they would immediately be found with scouters. Gine nervously says to her son that if his father is just overthinking this, they will come for him right away. Bardock warns ****rrot not to look for too long at the full moon; they will tell Raditz about this, too.

“You absolutely have to stay alive… See you around.”

****rrot presses his face against the glass as his pod rises up. Bardock says to watch out for the Galactic Patrol as the pod shoots off the planet. Bardock puts his arm around Gine as ****rrot’s pod disappears into the sky.

Meanwhile, at Galactic Patrol headquarters, Jaco inquires why the Galactic King has summoned his exceptional self. It must be for an extremely important mission! The king goes along with this and tells Jaco to go to “Earth” since a flying object was picked up launching from Planet Freeza and headed there.

Earth is a developing world ruled by humans who are still immature and weak, so the Saiyans have probably sent a child. Therefore the clumsy– er, exceptional Jaco can probably exterminate it himself.

After researching Earth, Jaco comments that Earthlings are of very poor qualities; if he decides it is not worth protecting them, he will use his extinction bomb. His superiors do not mind, but tell him to research well before doing it. He should arrive a few days before the Saiyan. Jaco is excited about the prospect of extinction, while one Galactic Patrolman asks whether it was all right to let Jaco handle such a task. The other tells him Earth is not an important world; the Galactic King gave him the mission figuring they had nothing to lose.

And so, Jaco, and later the Saiyan child called Son Goku, went to Earth. Some time later, Planet Vegeta, together with many Saiyans, was obliterated by Freeza’s hand. Eventually, the destined child grew up right and would, without realizing it, come to face off against his bitter enemy, Freeza…

^ At one point I will read that, thanks.

@Blogness Brian pretty much made Over 9000. Literally. It originated in the west, obviously, and it originated during the original Ocean dub. So, I genuinely consider HIM to be the meme. The way he says it is in every regard the OG, and he's the reason it became a meme. No way Sabat's version would've had that impact. Brian impressed all of us 90s kids because he's a beast, he's just a beast. His level of rage was mind blowing to me as a kid. I can't remember any TV animated program from that era that comes close to how brutal he was.

It's not that explainable to someone who didn't see it originally at that time I think. It's typical when the dub switched, because from Vegeta's death on Namek onward, Sabat's voice is fine for him. But for anything up until Goku arrives on Namek, Brian is Vegeta to me. It's Brian that says Over 9000, that kills Nappa, that fights Zarbon, that goes berserk when Gohan steals his balls. I think we partially even owe how we view Vegeta to him here in the west, because despite a character being written, a VA still gives it its final shape, especially in DBZ's case, where the translation process obviously had a big impact on what the show was. He's the one who made the original impact on us in the west, or the original generation that saw the english dub anyway.

I'd go so far as to say Brian has a solid piece in the origin of the popularity of DBZ in the west. Without him the Ocean dub suddenly is just goofy. Brian did a lot to keep the tone brutal. And Piccolo's voice actor I guess. Though Ocean's Piccolo did not age well imo. Sabat is more Piccolo to me than he is Vegeta. Though I admit he dual VA's them pretty decently.

FTR: Im NOT saying he IS better, who you prefer is taste and that's your own business. But he IS OG for the original western generation, that's undeniable. And with it, his impact is undeniable.

Hmm, I dont know how to take the new manga tbh; it mentions ssg so it automatically becomes canon, but at the same time it basically changes everything we knew about Gokus history, and makes the first Bardock movie non canon by having Bardock with Gine instead of his squad. Also, the part about him being 3 contradicts the very first scene of dragonball! He certainly wasnt 3 there. Vegeta was also on Friezas ship when he blew up the planet, not away off in space, I dunno....

As for the whole who is the better Vegeta debate, I will ad my 2 cents; having been brought up on the ocean dub, being in Uk, I have to say that parts of it are better than funis dub, such as Vegetas voice and Trunks, but after having watched the funi dub through youtube I have began liking that dub more, mostly due to it being the dub the games and kai now use.

Wait, ignoring the Battle of the Gods movie, there is a new official manga being released? If so, please no spoilers :)!

"Viz will print their official English translation of Dragon Ball Minus in next week’s 2014 #19 issue of their own digital Weekly Shonen Jump. The company will release their English-language collected edition of the series, both digitally and in print, in January 2015."

And I still say Goku was at least a couple years old, because it would have taken him years to grow that much hair. Saiyans grow their hair normally until it reaches a certain point. Goku at age 16 looked about the same age as Gohan did at age six, so he would appear far younger, but I would believe he is three. Also, the Bardock special wasn't written by Toriyama, so if it goes against the special, it doesn't mean it contradicts his story. A lot of the History of Trunks was in the manga though, right before the Cell games. I don't know why it wasn't in the main series, because it's not like they had something against filler. It doesn't matter to me though if it doesn't work. I already love what we have, so if anything new turns out good, it's just icing on the cake.

A Bardock Figuarts would be pretty cool and feasable. He's popular enough that he would sell a decent amount of units, at least as much as Goku for obvious reasons. Also think it's a shame that 18 will probably be the only female we'll see in Figuarts form. A Bulma or Videl Figuarts would be excellent, give us some variety for once (i know theres some of you that want nothing but men on their shelves tho, lol)

If you'd like to buy them for us, I think we'll all gladly take them crisis! There's only 3 new releases a year, and these figures are very expensive, so that's not entirely fair to say. They're just toys representing characters, not characters themselves, and not people, so I don't think the gender thing is an issue. If we got a Videl, I would have no want for a Boo, because I would just display Gohan and Videl together and be happy.

In all honesty, blame Toriyama for not making any female character a lead fighter. We as fans can't really help it that there's essentially only one decently powered female in the whole franchise, which we'll have this summer.

DBZ is like LOTR man, it's super male oriented. Prestigious lines' line ups will simply exemplify that.
