I actually have a massive world/story I've been working on for years and my dream is to have it become an anime series one day. But the emphasis is currently very much on the word 'dream' there.

Slightly more on topic I will say if Broly had eventually turned into a good guy I would've bought his figuarts, regardless of how stupid his story is imo.

I guess I'm an exception in the western world that I mainly like heroes more than villains. If someone's a villain that's actualy a notch down for me per def in feeling any necessity to homage the character in any way.

You're absolutely right about his back story. For being one of the strongest out of the movies, he's probably got the weakest backstory for having such a high status with fans.

It would be great to see Paragus and Broly observe the Z fighters at the tournament, and they could leave the tournament, because Trunks was kidnapped. Then it could turn out that Paragus took him to their kingdom, and was treating him like royalty, being Vegeta's son. He could tell Vegeta about his history with King Vegeta, and lie about not wanting revenge. Paragus just wants to bring the Saiyans back to their rightful place as the strongest warriors of the universe, and wants Vegeta to rule them, being the rightful heir to the throne. I would rather them not have SSJ2 at all for anyone, but Gohan, and then convince Vegeta to return to his roots. Then you can get the Goku vs Vegeta rematch, without having to worry about any powerups, plus you can keep other characters relevant, since their wasn't a big power increase. Piccolo would actually be stronger than Goku, being that Super Nameks are much stronger than Super Saiyans. You could have Ten, Yamcha, and Kuririn going up against Paragus' troops, or helping them out in the background.

I want to see something similar to the Hunger Dogs on Apokolips, where the civilians are all slaves and treated horribly, yet they all have Stockholm Syndrome, still worshipping Paragus, no matter how evil he is.



While off planet, you could have mind controlled Broly, being held off by Piccolo, Gohan, and Android 18. I would love to have that mentoring role of Piccolo for Gohan, and have him setting up strategies, mid fight. There could be a bunch of criminals taking advantage of the destruction caused by the mind controlled Broly, and then have Master Roshi lead the World Tournament fighters to help fight them off. Chi Chi could help the injured, while Bulma starts mass producing Saiyan armor and weapons to give to civilians, so they can defend themselves against soldiers from Paragus' kingdom, as they try to take over Earth. Then you can have a moment when Paragus stabs Trunks, like King Vegeta did to his son, and Vegeta tells Goku, Ten, Yamcha, and Kuririn to leave the planet, because he's going to blow himself up along with the planet. Then Broly's mind control could be broken, and then back on earth they have to deal with LSSJ Broly. Broly fights out of self defense, because he doesn't understand why he's being attacked by Gohan, and Piccolo. He could kill Piccolo, and after seeing Gohan's reaction to Piccolo's death, and realize their not evil.

Those are just some ideas, I'm throwing out there, but I think it would be a really neat movie!

@Snake Yeah bums me out, Broly, Buu and Dabura are all three the same deal for me, and in all three cases it was Toriyama who made great designs, and then either didn't at all, or didn't have enough time to fully flesh out good backgrounds.

Such a shame, for me anyway. I mean I could buy things solely for the design but... That's just too much expense for something I don't fully like. Plenty of other stuff to spend money on.

But in Broly's case I really wish he'd eventually became a good guy, like most of Toriyama's villains. The fact that he's just angry muscle and that's it is just, it's not even weak writing, it's no writing.

Its always been just a simple sales pitch for tamashii; most likely to sell will always outnumber niche characters, just look at ssj3 Goku, saiyan Vegeta and now Broly. They are mostly sticking to the same sagas but if something will sell they will go offtrack to make it.

Dude, Super Jenemba is stronger. He nearly killed SSj3 Goku in one slash, it took fusion to kill him because SSj3 wasn't enough. He's even more powerful than Hirudegarn, when you consider that SSj3 was more than enough to take him out.

You have to consider that Brolys power is always rising; if that fight would have gone on any longer he may well have surpassed ssj2; imagine what all that time would do? The time he fought adult Gohan shows that, but not to its fullest as he wasnt gaining power in space just surviving. Adult Gohan fought him as ssj2 and Broly was still more powerful.

Uh he said ONE OF the strongest Philo... I don't think Snake meant to start one of those infamous 'who is stronger' arguments.

Broly's just a signature powerful villain and for such a staple in terms of power, it just sucks that his story is so weak in comparison.
