Maybe I'll feel better when I start posing him, I have a fun pic in mind that may lift my mood. I don't have time to do it right now though. I have Mace on the way too and I know I'll be happy to have him.

I just want to keep all the figures I get, to make up for what my folks denied me in '77, '80 and '83.
Your parents sound like awful people. Mine were no different either. I had a huge garbage bag of Transformers figures, tmnt comics, and so on. And they threw em all out without my consent. Luckily, I had my grandfather to fill that void.

Who are you buying from? All the Figuarts I've bought have had free shipping and as far as I know the duty I pay is VAT which I'm not sure would apply in Sweden.

At present it's the same duty / vat policy for all of EU. - if you are lucky and total cost (price+shipping) is not too high then stuff can slip under the radar.
Most recent searches have been through Amazon. (and as a Brit abroad I've noticed that shipping to UK is often quoted as free...but for shipping to Sweden they are asking silly prices. You pay the price for living somewhere silly I guess.)

Tips on better sources totally welcome though.

Being a veteran here doesn't mean you are the master, nor a better qualified person. You are exactly like me, not best or worst.

He never said his opinions are any better than yours or anybodys.

Owning all BS, Mafex and Figuarts figures and talk with "knowledge"? Hypocrite much.

No, last time you came here spouting that black series was better and all that rubbish, and the entire thread was apart of it, not just a few, and you werent stating it as opinion then either. Making me out to be the bad guy here is pretty funny honestly, when what I stated is indeed, fact.

You forget that this is a figuarts thread, so coming in here whenever Hasbro fires out another figure trying to point out how good it looks and how much cheaper than figuarts it is isnt "respectful" as you put it. THAT is forcing opinion on others.

Now as I said, im done.

Obviously, it's my word against yours. This thread is full of references to other 1/12 brands and series, and the act of comparing to S.H. is 100% licit and so sane.
But you are fully right; last time I came just to argue and defend my opinion, and your reaction, and the reaction of SOME other members (not all, nothing further from reality, since there are a lot of people posting here), was to turn inmediately against me, like a herd of hungry wolves, just because I was defending some Hasbro figures. And now, you are doing exactly the same. Let the other members to see it by theirselves; I come here talking about some Hasbro figures (other members were talking about that too), and your first word is AGAINST me. So yes, you seem to be trying to discriminate me. That's THE FACT.
Last time I felt besieged and I did response wrong, insulting, my fault. Perhaps you think I'm a bad person, but the reality is that I was several weeks so depressed because you and some of your friends.
This time, I came just to forget and talk about figures, but you had to came and put your kind of law, pointing to me, focusing on me. That's your fault, that's discrimination in a social community.
In my previous post I said "forget me". To me, you are the bully guy. You are the insane. And now, I will not be intimidate by you.

Now please, again, forget me. I came here to talk with good people, not with you. Don't care about my argues, ignore me. Easy.

Lighten up guys.

Let my Kamen Rider Black cheer everybody up!

On a lighter note, these things are sweet and cheap haha i find myself looking for these and some ultraman figuarts while waiting for the next star wars shf release. Nostalgic!

Mates, your fight is bloody stupid. At the end of the day, they are all toys we can enjoy. Like what you like. If you disagree with someone, no need to drag it out like this. If you really have to, PM each other instead of making it public for all to see.

I lost interest in reading after seeing the word "Obviously".

My figures are in the most generic poses. I've been too lazy to properly pose them. I have to put more shelves up. Should be getting Luke sometime early next month, and I just ordered the Baton & Shield FO Stormtrooper.

Still need to get around to getting the original Trooper, Clone Trooper, Shadow Trooper, Battle Droid, and I guess the regular FO Stormtrooper

I'll get round to setting mine back up again this week. I think the next figure I'm likely to get will be Harley Quinn, I'm waiting for the best price to come up....

You're right, but look, I wrote this:

“See that Hasbro is improving its quality is something good for the 1/12 collector community. The good thing about the Black Series is the sculpt. They are really good, because they are modeled in Zbrush, allowing a level of detail and almost perfect fidelity. The problem comes with the materials and paint finishes.
Still, I'm pleasantly surprised with, for example, Jango Fett. If that is the standard of quality from now, keeping the price 20-25 €, I myself will have a serious problem to focus on one collection.
The issue is that I have a bunch of OT characters in Black Series and replace them all with S. H. Figuarts or Mafex could take five or six years, quietly. It's a bit frustrating.
There is also the fact that, by scale and proportions, S. H. Figuarts can not mix well with Black Series. The Mafex have the scale of Black Series, but the proportions of Figuarts. It is very noticeable in the size of the hands and heads.
Everything seems a conspiracy to end up collecting all brands.
To focus a bit, I decided to separate Figuarts as an alternative collection and follow Black Series collection if they continue to improve in quality”.

And Big Deano answers this:

“Hasbro doesnt improve its quality Kunanuk, they show amazing prototype hand painted figures then ship poorly painted soft plastic rubbish for lack of a better phrase. Thats fact.

Since I am almost positive we have all already went through this with you before thats all im saying on the matter”.

Sorry, but I have to defend myself if this is going public.

I see,

My Post Office guy said it comes down to what they put on the declaration form the sellers stick to the front of the box. The eBay sellers I got my Vader and Obi Wan from were too honest on theirs and so I got hit. MyKombini (they have a web store and one on eBay) on the other hand are a bit more vague and I didn't get hit for Luke. I was going to get Obi Wan from them but they were all out when I went to get him so I went for the next cheapest. I got Mace from MyKombini (They are cheap and post free.) and will see what happens.....

They weren't, and still aren't awful people, they just weren't into sci fi and fantasy like I was, they come from a different generation before stuff like that became popular.

Thats true. If they mark it down as a gift, then theres less chance of it being flagged so to speak, as is marking the items value down, since in the uk at least, the value of a gift can reach £20ish before customs can grab it. The problem being that most sellers, on ebay especially, would rather overvalue the item incase it is lost in transit, which is why ebay usually results in a charge for folks in the uk.

Nippon Yasan is one company who will happily do both "tweaks" if you ask them to. They are a little more expensive, but I have yet to be hit with a charge after buying over a dozen figures from them, oh, and their £13 shipping is excellent for getting an item within the week.

I know, all my recent posts will be used aginst me, like "you keep discussing".

Seems to be no way on some threads, to talk 100% free without being pointed by someone who decides to smash a member. If that member tries to defense himself, then he will turn as the bad guy.

So please, judge me by my actual posts, not by my response to other members who are charging on me.

So they stuck by their stubborn ways and never spent any time to see why sci-fi interests you so much.

All i see is one long paragraph of self defence. As a guy who's just passing by, whatevs...

That doesn't help. I would like the memebrs here would be more empathic, but I'm staring to belive that's impossible. Really frustrating. Seriously.

I suppose they did, but, now I have my own money, they can't control what I spend it on. Still, I was always pretty discerning anyway and I was never all that happy with the Star Wars figures as they were in those days. The Figuarts are finally the Star Wars figures I always wanted, they do the poses I remember wanting to do before but couldn't.
