Holy.... Galactic Marines! Im surprised bandai seems to be making kits for these (yes, I'm pretty sure thats the case due to the abundance of new parts needed for them) considering they're only in the movie for like 10 seconds. I need at least 4.

There's also bacara, commander cody, rex, and some 501st clones

Dannnng those are sweet! They're not custom??

I'm not sure, again the galactic marines use so many new parts, that are so accurate and clean its hard to believe they're custom. The others likely are, but the add on pieces look too professional. Then again, Japanese hobbyists are REALLY talented. Theres more in that guys photo stream btw
They appear to be from something called the "Doro Off Exhibition", which seems to be some kind of modelling thing. This dampens my hope for the release of the marines, but again, they have so many new parts...

I love how Figuarts releases on the predicted date (unlike Mafex).

SHF isn't flawless (what company is?) but I feel where Star Wars is concerned, I can rely on them to deliver the goods -- great product for scale and price, quality, on-time -- more so than any other company.

Unless we see official pics from Bandai, I'd be inclined to think those troopers were custom. If I get more Figuarts SW figures I'll only get them from sellers I've used before where I haven't been charged, like Kombini and the guys I got my Maul from. I got a Figuarts from Ami Ami, it may have only taken a week, but, the £25 customs charge rather takes the gloss off that. They are worth £60 at a push, but not £80, I can't afford to keep paying that.

Did you choose EMS as your shipping method for that amiami order?

I should be getting my Mafex Fett tomorrow. Any reviews or other pictures anywhere?

The Fwoosh thread has some goodies on it! https://thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=91009&start=465

"THE FIGURE IS GREAT!!! :D :D

MAFEX really protected the HELL out of this thing. Not only was it in the standard clamshell tray, but they have a molded plastic sheath wrapped around the helmet to protect the head & range-finder thingy. That thing was actually a ***** to remove.

But I'm happy to report that the figure is AWESOME! BEAUTIFUL paint. No floppiness. In fact, this figure has the best joints out of any MAFEX I've purchased so far. I wish my MAFEX Vader had this kind of sturdiness to it. :)

The joints are nice and stiff, but not sticky like the MAFEX BvS Batman's were. When I move the figure, I don't feel like I'm about to break something. But he holds poses LIKE A CHAMP! :)

The plastic on this thing feels nice and sturdy. And the articulation scheme is pretty solid. Great range of motion in the shoulders, double jointed elbows and knees, ankle pivots, the whole nine yards.

The knees and the torso/abdomen area are particularly interesting. The knees had me confused for a minute or two. When you bend the knee, it almost looks like the yellow knee cap slides independent of the knee parts, like it's a sheath over the actual knee. Or maybe they've invented some type of new sculpting witchcraft or something. I'll have to study the knee a little further. It works great and looks great, I'm just not sure what the mechanics are yet.

The Abdomen/Torso works great despite the bulky chest armor. There's an ab piece that pivots at the waist and where it attaches to the inside of the torso armor, so while there's no Spider-Man type crunch action, you get two points or articulation: The waist rotates and tilts on a ball joint, and the torso rotates and tilts on an inner ball joint.

Oh; and the holster on his thigh has a strap that you can unsnap to accommodate the pistol. :)

I'm starting to ramble. Long story short: GREAT FIGURE.
GREAT Job, MAFEX.

As weird as it sounds, the MAFEX Boba Fett makes the Figuarts Jango Fett look like a MAFEX Dark Knight Batman. :p

I guess I won't be canceling those other preorders just yet. :) "

I'd like to see one next to Jango, if someone can do that....

Crappy photo, but it gives you a sense of scale...

Personally, I think Boba looks great, but Bandai's model kit and Revoltech have the Mafex beat in a few articulation areas. For example, Mafex has a 90 degree elbow bend and the shoulder armor restricts range of motion.

I screwed up my shipping this week. I had Boba ship from HLJ on Monday. Now, I just got a payment received email from them for the Clone and Figma Miyo Asato. I completely forgot they were coming up. On top of that, I heard Revoltech Deadpool is shipping. My preorder is with CDJapan, but I haven't gotten any word yet.

Boba looks great, can't wait to get him. Glad to hear Mafex has addressed some of their QC issues, at least on this release. Looking forward to the full Fwoosh video review.
