I've been watchin' MMPR for the past three months.

Great nostalgia. Which season are you watching? I stopped after Zeo.

The show was a very goofy fun.
This movie looks and sounds like tasteless crap.
I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but for that you'd have to wait 'till the home video release.

I think some fans think the TV show was a masterpiece of television.

I'm not even a PR fan. The show was very good for what it was.

MM S3. The slower the better.
I really wanna make it to "Lost Galaxy" because it has my fav villains but dunno if it worth sittin' thro "Turbo".

Before i was upset because the designs of all the non human characters is very ugly. Everything looks ugly but i held some hope for the action.

But that dialogue is super cringey even for power ranger standards. Im not trying to just hate on it, but the jokes were cheesy for a movie that is trying so hard to be serious. Or maybe it was the delivery.

I know this is based on a silly kids show and i shouldnt expect much but those are two disappointing things that i find troubling.
The actors dont have the charm of the original cast, the creatures are hideous and the dialogue is cringey.....

I know we joke a lot but this movie makes me sad on how much they got wrong. I was hoping they did a better job.

I was actually excited when this was announced.

The last trailer really puts it into perspective, this movie looks too serious for a Power Rangers movie, and too childish/cheesy for a serious movie. It looks like it falls somewhere between MMPR and a Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie. I don't think it's working, I think they needed to commit to one direction or another.

Yeah I always thought a more gritty mmpr would be a HUGE success with people old enough to have loved the show in the 90s. In that sense, I think the back stories from the super sentai show would fit better than the mmpr back stories. It takes itself more seriously...and the zords being a race of godly beings (sort of like transformers) would be a cool approach.

I definitely understand the criticisms, but I really think the tone has been the same since the beginning and I like where they're taking this thing. I think if you make it too serious, you alienate one huge group of people. If you make it too comical or cheezy, you alienate another huge group. It's the Power Rangers we're talking about here. There's only so many directions you can go because of the source material, but I think this was the best course of action. Hopefully, the movie delivers. Hype hasn't wavered for me.

They could have made it like guardians of the galaxy or like ant man or like pg 13 kick ass....

You can have a fun action movie for kids that has action for adults. You can have a movie with jokes but with adult situations.

Even the teenage ninja turtles movie got this right. The turtles look like monsters and megan fox was annoying but the movie had the perfect tone.

I dont want to just name marvel movie but this needed that kickass/ ninja turtles/ ant man tone and style.
Those movies were liked by everyone. Not too dark but not tok goofy

BUT..... IF they wanted to go darker and serious then you cant have quip one liners. There are darker movies that appealed to kids like twilight, chronicle, hunger games. Those were big hits.
