if ever there was a figure made for expansion packs this would be the one. the different pauldrons & weapons & possibly helmets..............if done correctly i could forsee more sales of a single trooper to modify with the ep than the outright variants........of course......imho.

Bingo!!!! Sideshow has a cash cow in that idea. I totally agree that "equipment" packs for sandtroopers would sell like crazy. Myself, I would even be intrested in robes for Jedi, or costume sets for Endor/Hoth/Imperial troopers.

i think that falls under a whole different category as it would require a complete different sculpt.....mind you what i suggest falls under new sculpts or casts for different weapons.......but the different pauldrons and helmets would only require a different paint job. and if im wrong someone please correct me on the helmets.......

Smart idea! I stayed home and spent all day watching my two kids, our sitter was sick. Funny how I never missed a PPO while at work. Oh well, wait list for me!

SS says this has a new helmet/faceplate, but it looks like a repainted Stormie helmet...? Am I missing something?

The sandtrooper helmets look to just be a minor resculpt altering the teeth patern. The stunt helmets used for all the sandtrooper shots had more then the hero helmets used for the deathstar close ups. I'm kinda hoping that's a slight green tint i'm seeing to the eye paint as well but hard to tell in most sideshow's photo's kinda like it was hard to see the red tint on vaders.

This might be the first Sideshow figure I have absolutely no qualms about. Well, the original Stormtrooper looks pretty damn good too.

I'm glad I got one of the exclusives and that my twin brother said that he'd help me pay for it. I'm saving up for the 3 Predator figures that are due out soon and I'm glad my twin brother is awesome!

I did that on the last PP, but got on the waitlist for EP II Obi Wan and it converted within a couple of weeks. I strongly recommend the waitlist option if you haven't already. There's bound to be cancellations from people who ordered more then one.
