Can someone please pull up Sideshow's Hi-res copy of the hand holding ring on Sideshow's site? From the low res copy, the hand and the ring both look different than what we are getting.

I'd also be interested in seeing it....

Going by the picture, its not the same hand. The pointer finger seems higher than the middle finger on the hand holding the bolt, unless its the angle of the hand in the picture or the thickness of the bolt raising the finger up.

I find the weathering on the abdominal plate to be distracting. The way the paint follows the recesses of the detailing looks poor, IMO. I hope the second offering, orange pauldron, doesn't look the same.

Going by the picture, its not the same hand. The pointer finger seems higher than the middle finger on the hand holding the bolt, unless its the angle of the hand in the picture or the thickness of the bolt raising the finger up.

It's the bolt raising the finger. If it's not the same hand, they wasted money on sculpting & molding 'cause the factory gave them the same thing twice.

I would guess it's the thickness of the bolt raising the finger.

Thanks for the pic Sean. This confirms my suspicion that this is a different hand with a different ring. What was once a unique piece for the exclusive is now composed of redundant parts: a generic Stormtrooper hand and Frodo's ring.

Yep, definitely different. The pinkie on the prototype sticks out whereas it does not on the final product. Plus, the droid part in the prototype is much thicker than what arrived today.

Is it REALLY the same as the One Ring? Wouldn't the Ring have markings on it?

Please don't jump on me for always moaning (I'm trying to be a positive, happy camper - Honest) but does anyone else fell like SS have dropped a boll ock on this exclusive?

Looks to me like as far as the droid part goes, the one actually included is better than the proto, no? It's weathered and looks more like a piece that fell off a droid instead of a silver ring.

That's not to say anything about the hand being a duplicate, though I do like the ability to be able to remove the piece from the hand.
