He looks good Dorgs for a medi trooper He's a tad more posable than my SS ones with the body mod i done. I can do that run pose and splits with most of mine though. I never even tried til i saw yours and thought id have a go, some need adjusting as their too tight I see you have started decorating your studio as well looking good m8.

Darth i like the leg extension looks good.

You need to pull the head up on your SS trooper and stick that chest armour in boiling hot water for 20 secs, then hold it gently to reshape the chest so it fits nicer.

Yeah I know mate... I've done that on a couple of other ones but to be honest I get bored with having to do stuff the manufacturers should have thought of!

When you look at what we pay for these toys, they should be perfect.

Well i think they look better than the medi ones, (which are short squished up and have midget hands) and they cost less than half the price the medi ones did, so they aint bad. It took me about 15mins to do all 6 chests on mine, and most of that was re-boiling the kettle and trying not to scald myself Saying that even you and Dorgs are modifying the medi ones atm

Took a few quick piccies of my stormies in poses for ya to show the normal SS bodies with a slight mod are fine,their not TT fine but fine enough.

PS. Their all still standing in those poses atm, no fallsyovers

man Bob your troops look great, i have 2 sideshow stormies on slim true type and am pretty happy with the way they turned out. i'll try and post pics later on.

TT bodies would be nice but im not spending a ton on getting them, besides im gonna be getting 7 or 8 SS sandies yet id be skint buying TT's.

Don't get me wrong! I like the SS Stormies. And the Medis and Marmit.
They all have good and bad points, I just wish someone would pull their finger out and make a perfect Stormtrooper, so I could stop hacking, chopping, sticking, bending, etc, etc etc... As I say, I'm just basically lazy, I'd like to just hand over the money and stick 'em on a shelf, then not have to pick them up off the floor 5 minutes later! (Don't sneeze C-Bob - You know they'll keel over! LOL)

Aye i know what u mean if we could somehow merge SS/Medi/Marmit/Hot toys we'd have a sweet Stormie. Maybe 1 day but by then i wont give a monkeys anymore If SS would at least make a decent solid body that could be posed half as well as a TT id be a very very happy bunny.

Hey Dorgmal

How did the Waist/belt section fit on the True Type? I found the SS armour a tight fit and the Medi stuff seems even narrower?

Also, how did you attach the SS feet? I trimmed down the supplied True Type "ball" but was curious as to how you got them to stay on.

I don't know I have an early night and u a bob gas all night long, darn it I miss all da fun lol.
First thing first that medi you have got with the leg ex looks cool, and bobs ss with truetypes look good, (can't believe he has 6 SS troopers!!)

As for the waist section, steam it over a kettle and it goes really flexible you could get it on a Gamorean Guard LOL.
As for the feet. Well I was gonna poop the medi shoes on but I quite like the the ss feet. so I drilled the ss feet out with a 4 or 5mm drill.

dam I want more true type figures they are ace. (except for the giant hands) There is always something!
I love the head on the new TT do you know what other heads will fit it, just the head, no neck.

Just dropping the kids at Nursery, then got a couple more hours work to do, then Ill have a dig through me head draw and see what fits!

p. S. Did you have a look at my TrueType foot mod in the Han & Ljke Stormie thread? It's a few pages backnow butwofked pretty well without wrecking the Ss feet! Worth a look.

So I am trying to use the medis. But the new SS Sandie looks tempting!! but I am skint and want to work on what I have got first.

I wish they were on Truetypes m8, their just on the original SS body with the mods i done on them so they can stand and pose without using a stand.

Why was you boiling your SS trooper for 20mins

I had to buy a new chest for 1 of my stormies cos i tried reshaping it with a hairdryer and it shrank 20 seconds in a bowl of boiling water partially submerged then pop it out with a fork. Then squeeze it gently whilst putting it in cold water does the trick. Then pop it on your trooper if its still too big do it again, but dont over do it.

hey CB, how did you modify your stormtroopers? i only have the stromtrooper commander left to mod but i really dont want to put him on a slim tt. and Dorg for the chest armor, i used a hair dryer at a "safe" distance and that did the trick for me without messing it up.
