I stripped mine off and used black tape around the very top part of the knee and around both the hip joints as well. I didnt wrap the tape too tight (Except on a few which i need to adjust) otherwise they are really stiff, but they wont fall over thats for sure

The next bit was i used a hot glue gun on the balljoint on the foot between the actual foot and balljont itself, i also turned the balljoint so the foot can tilt sideways. I used hot glue so if it needs adjusting or whatever u can just pull the glue off nps.

bummer Mark but i kinda like the sideshow stormies, the medicoms, imo are spot on but a tad short.

Cool go for it.

I used black tape because its not hugely sticky, so it allows movement still, and also cos its tough and flexible. Once you do the mod see how it stands and poses before u put the suit etc back on. It wont be TT poseable stability wise for running poses etc, mine stood in a running pose for about 15mins and it didnt fall over, but took a minute to get him to stand

just a warning about the black electrical tape. after some time it tends to dry out but goes thru a melting mushy stage before that although that may depend on your humidity level where you are. i tend to go with medical gauze or something similar when i want to build up a figure to fit armor & such.........

Hey is that the sticky kind, or do u just wrap it round then put a bit of tape on afterwards? I wonder if that would do anything to help the figure pose, its not for building bulk.

i have used just strait gauze with just a drop of superglue to hold in place. not sure of actually helping a figure to pose though........

I got some 3M micropore tape, gonna use that and see how it goes with that for tightening them up. I also got a ton of gauze as well. Good thing i work at a medical centre Its all old stock mostly and 1 of the Docs let me have it.

And DG!! Are you having trouble with your little man!! Too floppy ??????? I have no such trouble as you can see from the photos!

As for the heads, no worries when you get time. Its my birthday in September, hey that means I am a month older than you! I don't think my wife will be buying me any dollies!!!

I don't think she likes them you know.

How dare you sir!!! My chap can stand to attention just fine! Just you ask my.... Ah. I see, you mean my Sideshow Collectables Stormtrooper. Ahem, well yes then, their all a bit loosey Goosey.

I actually spent most of last night putting Luke back on the Sidedhow body (wasn't 100% happy with the True Type Slim) Ive tightened all the screws up, wrapped the arms, legs & torso in tissue then bound it all with black tape. Also. Added some little foam custom washers to the ankle joints tostiffen them up. Works pretty well. The joints are tighter, the armour fits better, he can stand for more than a few minutes, and holds a pose OK.

I've done the same to Han. Couldn't be bothered to take pics last night, butive got another regular trooper to do, so I might stick up a "walk through" for anyone who's interested.

I think Bob has a "Special relationship" with his Doc.

And no. I don't think my wife likes my dollies either. She keeps threatening to let the twins play with them!

though to be fair she does occasionally buy me one for Birthdays and Christmas. I must remember or Wedding Anniversary inSeptember... Otherwise the Sandtrooper willbe in the Sarlac pit! LOL

I think our mrs's are v similar! She thinks it wrong that a soon to be 37 year old man collects and plays with dollies. What is she on about its perfectly normal. Isn't it?

They are quite old. The big fellow is from the Galactic Heroes collection, that one you might find if you are lucky.

As far as the three top ones, the middle one is from the Star Wars miniatures games, the other one is from the Micro Fleet collection and the other one from the Action Fleet put many years ago. I forget which one is which though.

Luis, I love the small ones, they are great. But if I collect any more Star Wars toys the Mrs is gonna feed me to the Rancor (AKA The Mother in Law LOL)

And yautja, I want to get one more Medicom Sandtrooper, and I will pay homage to the Bantha Squad!! gonna be dirty as hell LOL. But the Medicom Sandtrooper seem so expensive in the UK.
