Why on earth ask for a Gandalf when no Boromir has been made?

There is a long list of deserving characters, but remember they want to make money too. A Boromir may sell ok for hardcore fans, but not nearly as well as a Saruman or any of the "baddies". I honestly don't know if they even plan to continue the line past him(or finish the other line), but I hope they do. I really want to see a Balrog Maquette at least the size of Sauron, if they give me that I don't care what else they make, I will be happy.

Watching ROTK and that palantír is the size of a small melon, more than enough to fill a man's hand.
I think the light effect is cool, but I also think a polished marbled stone at the right size woulda looked better.

That aside this is a great looking figure.

That would be a dream come true. We need a bigger Balrog, personally I don't care if it is SS or Weta that does it.

Why make a Galadriel then? or Legolas for that matter?

You'd think Boromir would sell better than both of these. Regardless of what they make, it will sell out.

I'd be super down for a Sideshow made Balrog Maquette

I just said it will never sell as well as the others I mentioned, and those 2 prove my point. Neither of those 2 are worth half as much as the "bad" part of the line from the same period. That was back when the license was stronger too, less risk for expanding the line. Legolas has much wider appeal than Boromir for non hardcore fans. Galadriel is a strong character plus nice to have a female in an otherwise all male lineup.

Why would you think he sells more than those 2? And yes, anything they sell will eventually sell out, they just don't want it to take years to do it.

Re: Saruman the White

It's a no brainer they've teased nothing for the hobbit films.

This is very upsetting indeed. Although someone had hinted in one of the threads that this has to do with their contract and the timing of their releases as compared to Weta's.

Re: Saruman the White

Yeah they'll prob starting putting stuff out years later when the hype has died :lol

I'm down for an Azog and Thorin display.

Re: Saruman the White

Because they are a business and Wonder Woman will sell 4x as many as Azog.

Yes, they are obviously a business. I meant that they have obligations to all their licenses, otherwise we would see nothing but Iron Man and Batman 24/7. I was also shocked to see a 3500 ES for an EX, these ESs are getting crazy.

they're making a huge mistake, they are going down the path of making as much revenue as possible instead of giving their customers what they want which is a LOW ES on EX's which creates more hype and ultimately will benefit them in the long run.

1 thing I know is greed will destroy you. SS has gone from one bad decision to another, I remember the days when they released a statue they would number it AS SOON AS it's put up on pre-order, and the EX ES was low, do you guys remember the hype, and how fast the EX's sold out? nowerdays.... they do TBD on ES's, kills the hype, only a third will prob order others will try to get a bargain on the secondary market, and overall just kills the whole excitement of ordering and having a "rare" item in your collection.
Take this with a pinch of salt or whatever SS not that they give 2 ***** about what we think.
