Why is it that the attackers often call themselves the attacked? When a person shares their faith then non-believers accuse you of shoving it down their throats and also say that they are being attacked by someone elses beliefs.......ummm, in most cases it's the non-believers who sling mud, insult, name call and go on the attack.

Man I couldn't agree more and have brought this up before. They are behaving like the type of people they claim to be against.

Man only a tiny,tiny fraction of religious people believe what that idiot was saying about doomsday. Don't generalize to try to prove your point. Also that rapture BS isn't even in the actual Bible man. You need to inform yourself more on something before you make such steep criticisms.

l didn't generalize. when l say all these people who believe in this, l meant the people who are saying prepare, prey and repent right now because tommorow we will all be dead. those are the people l am talking about, and yes l know they are a very small portian. l heard on the news that that Camping guy said 97% of us will be damned after this happens. i'm not criticizing.

Guys like him know exactly what they're doing.

He knows doomsday theories are popular these days and he is making a business decision to take advantage of the weak minded. This is something that alot of companies do.

to lump all Christians in with these people is like saying EVERY single muslim is just like Bin Laden.

l don't totaly agree with your first statement. it goes both ways. yes when religious people talk about their faith, non religious feel forced to hear it. but when a non religious person talks about not being religious the religious people shove it down their throat also, on how they will be damned and they are wrong and so on. trust me l have heard it from a couple serious religious people in my family.

l never lumped all Christians in with these people who believe this was going to happen. l never even mentioned Christions. l never said anything close to that. l said "all these idiots who believe this is going to happen". that is refuring to the weird people who actually fallow this guy, which of course is a small number.

yes l agree. these people use religion as a means to scam and make money.

same thing is happening about doomsday 2012. l watched a documentary about companies who are building bunkers for people for that event. l think the doomsday high will slow down after nothing happens in 2012. because that's the big one people have been talking about for years. so if nothing happens on the big one then when the next date comes people will hopefully say enough with these stupid doomday dates because there have been a bunch of them and nothing ever happened. l think people will get tired of hearing about it.

I was just thinking, we're all screwing around with this but imagine if it's true, boy will our faces be red. Side story, I was getting dinner last night and I used the drive thru because I'm Merican and the guy in front of me was smoking something and he kept spitting out the window like every 5 seconds, this bothered me. Then the woman behind me kept screaming at the speaker "WHAT, WHAT" after every word the employee said, and I thought to myself, you know what I hope the apocalypse does happen.

I like this thread and of course do not want it to get closed. I really like reading what people say on both sides. I am a believer. But I have some issues here and there with the bible and it's many changes and what people have thought relevant to keep in, or take out, etc. But there's a lot of scripture in there that I do believe in.

For me, I believe in the truth of science, but I believe that God put science there for us to broaden our minds and have a future. We make money off of science. So I may believe in Evolution, but because God made it so.

NOW, if we continue on this topic, we're gonna get in trouble. Just wanted to share my 2 cents and now...FAUX RAPTURE!

You accuse Christians of damming you to hell. Really? We are the ones making the call? We are the ones choosing hell for you? We are sending you there? No, we believe you send yourself there by rejecting Christ and mocking Him.

That's the crux of the problem right there. Believers think they have no say in the matter. Non-believers say believers are just making stuff up (or following a mad up set of fairy tales). You're not going to convince a non-believer that the bible is condemning them to hell any more than you would be able to convince them that Star Wars is a historically accurate biography about true-life hero Luke Skywalker.

When people can't agree to disagree on these points is when threads get closed.
