SS has the full eight month flex-pay available again for Sauron. I believe I'll be hopping on the band wagon now. :yess:

Interesting...

I guess that can mean one of only two things

1) It's delayed.

2) It's not selling.

I'd probably go with the second option with maybe a sprinkle of the first.

I can imagine a lot of people waiting for in hand pics of this combined with the fact that there is no exclusive to worry about(which is a shame). Add in all the other great items this year and it is probably a good move for them and should not mean it is delayed.

I hope it's not number 1!

Don't count on it.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the option stays up for awhile. Like the other guy said, it's probably been updated because he's not selling too quickly right now.

The price tag of $899, SDCC right around the corner plus the potential grail or fail lava paint has a lot of people waiting.

Two of those three reasons (price and lava paint) are why I haven't jumped on him yet.

there is no way to know how well it's selling. All retailers sold out I believe and SS doesn't use the low quantity alerts on their pages anymore, so who knows.

That is why I am waiting, the glow in the dark paint is a break it deal.

No SS does not "bait" you into panic buying like WETA, but if you read the newsletter then you know what items are low quantity.

Yes, everywhere I checked has had their pre orders sold out for a while, but who knows how many they got to start with. The Newsletter will tell when it is down to less than 25, but other than that we have no idea.

But look how quickly(not to mention suddenly)the DR sold out...nah,I'm not taking any chances with this one,as I would just go crazy if I lost out on him...just placed my order :rock

Dude he's like the main villain :lol

Chris

Really? :lol

Yeah, I'm fully aware as I've seen the movies 20+ times. However, he's also shown for about 5 minutes in the first movie, and the remainder of the trilogy as an unseen evil.

I personally think the Ringwraiths, Witch King, Gollum and Saruman were more important to the events of the story than Sauron.

But, that's just me.

They were important but Sauron is more important to be honest. I'd even put the Ring after him on the scale because those two combined make for the worst evil in Middle-earth.

That's fine, I understand where you guys are coming from, but that still doesn't make him number 1 to me, especially at this price tag.

Honestly, I know I have read comments from other members too, that felt that some of the other villains were more memorable to them than Sauron.

Plus, some of us cannot just afford to spend $950+ at the drop of a hat.

I'm not asking you to change your opinion. I disagree with it but its no big deal that you don't agree. Sauron is The Lord of the Ring for me there isn't any more cooler bad guy than that, and that is why this is a must have for me even at $900. What others do is cool and must be done based on their personal feelings.

Personally, I also don't feel that I have to have a Frodo in my collection either, but that's just me.

With that being said, if Sauron looks amazing when he's released, I am sure I will want him and sell other PFs to fund him.

Different strokes for different folks I'd say. I think Frodo like Sauron is a must for any collection for a fan of Middle-earth. Again, you gotta roll with what you want your collection to look like.
