Awesome, I didn't really wanna go back through 400 pages LOL.

He's really awesome. I wonder if I have the space for him.

Its all good. I knew about what page they had last been quoted on.

He's very awesome. I'm not kidding when I say this could very easily be the best The Lord of the Rings piece Sideshow has ever done. Well, he's 36" tall so he's going to eat plenty just on his height.

Awesome pics Josh. Every time I see those I really want to get him.
Hopefully we'll see some great in hand pics soon.

Thank ya! I'm really happy with how they came out and hope to repeat the nice pics in July.

He's such an awesome looking piece. I would tell anyone who thinks they can swing it to do it.

Height isn't a problem, as he would go on a dresser with the other large LOTR pieces (Witch King and Dark Rider), but I'm concerned about the base size and how much his space his mace takes up.

I'm really excited to see in hand pics.

He's got a fairly decent size base as you can see in the pics. I don't recall if the product page gives dimensions for that though.

He's going to be my center piece. I've already scouted out some possible floating shelves that will be just slightly wider than the base hopefully.

Then I think I'll take a break for a year. This hobby is so demanding on your finances. What better way to finish for a while!

:exactly: Very much so, DC & LOTR are killing me this year.
Sauron would be a great cap on 2013, right after Batman. :)

Yeah, I love Batman. They have made so many though that I'm 100% sure I can get him anytime I want.

I do have the Superman EX on order but I'm counting that as next year!

Yeah mate after Sauron I'm done for 2013, unless a MR Falcon pops up then I'm done.....probably.

This hobby is demanding on your finances....however it is also addicting.

So...good luck trying to "take a break for a year". Most of us try doing that and inevitably there will be a piece that will cause you to order one more thing. And then you will tell yourself..."okay...after this one last piece I'm done for a year". :rotfl

Interesting...

I guess that can mean one of only two things

1) It's delayed.

2) It's not selling.

I'd probably go with the second option with maybe a sprinkle of the first.

You forgot:

3) They saw a production sample and Sauron looks like he's the new spokesmodel for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. :horror

:lol

Seriously though, I think it's probably just not selling as fast as they'd like and SS knows they'll move more this way.
I have a feeling that this one is too high profile to mess up. Hopefully he'll get some special attention given the fact that he's basically gonna be the flagship of Sideshow's LOTR line. I'm sure I'll end up paying him off early once he starts shipping.

It's impossible that sideshow will let this big guy goes in bad shape with the production line. Its probably because of that there still a pending licensor approval in notice. The base of the drom turned out really good even better than the prototype. So if lava in production doesn't look great, they'll change it to make it looks good I m sure.

Personally, I would have enjoyed it more with no lava paint on Sauron at all. I know I might be in the minority.

If it comes out like comic-con it will look great (much like the Vader Mythos statue), but its something that could go the other way. I do believe Sideshow will make sure that both pieces come out great.

That's why I think it will. They're going to want to blow people away with this. It was my favorite piece from comic-con last year.

If the in hand pics show up like that, my hand will be on the FlexPay button faster than you can say Sauron.
