Yeah, it could if that was an issue but I'd bet money it's not. I've never seen that happen with SS in all the years I've been collecting.

If there was a licensing dispute...chances are you would never hear SS admit it publicly. The last thing you want to do during licensing negotiations is go public and point the finger of blame at the other party.

I'm not stating emphatically that there is a licensing dispute or issue...but it does strike me as odd that SS is advertising the product is pending licensing approval if that really was not the issue. Why put any commentary at all in the product listing regarding licensing?? Why not simply list the release date and push it back if necessary??

I hope so, but why would they not end the mystery by answering my post in their section or update the site. A premium priced product like this should get a little more attention and care.

Does licensor approval happen only once a prototype has been created before the item goes to production or after a production sample has been made as well. I would be interested to know this. Maybe one of you can ask Sideshow at SDCC this year?

We talked about that a while back. I would think he should be the last to hold things up unless he wants more of a cut from the sales.
