You should be able to lightly warm them with a hair dryer and move them back.

the angle of the pics might be misleading due to the spike shape & the head looking slightly down. but since they are flexible there is a possibility but this should be an easy fix with a hairdryer. here are some more pics I didnt post earlier.

ok I asked him about the bend, he said that they are bendable & adjustable. he is currently out of the shop & will send clearer pics of the spike tomorrow. & regarding to the weight, "very heavy".
