The Chimp Jumpsuit is "NOT" a Sideshow Caesar suit, but a Vintage Moon McDare Jumpsuit that I found on ebay! Doesn't it match the same color as the Sideshow Caesar Jumpsuit?:lecture

The boots are the black boots that came with the Hasbro Ursus figure! I cut them down to accomadate the narrow pant legs and found a green paint that matches the Sideshow Apes shoes! Just look how form fitting the Jumpsuit is, It really reminds me of the Conquest Movie version.

Special thanks to kfog for this perfect teen/young adult sized body that works perfect for this project.

Thanks Steve. Yeah when I was doing the arms, I had Dr Galen on my brain. It's time consuming, but it turns out good. I just had to be careful not to cover over any joints with appoxie.

I could try Aldo. He seems easy enough.

Happy New Year!

I think this came out pretty good. Looking forward to painting it up to see what I screwed up...lol.

Too busy to make anything during the holidays, which just gives me more time to plan out future projects!

This Sean Connery sculpt is PERFECT for this orangutan in the Cataclysm series. The costume will be easy enough, too.

It's got the forehead wrinkles, hairline that I can continue into the beard, good eyes/expression. The muzzle will cover the mustache and I would only need to sculpt little pronounced ridges over the browes... I think I could nail this one!

Let's see how it looks next to each other!:impatient:

Hey Michael! You need to connect the sideburn part to the back of the hair and try to run the hair downward like the picture. The sideburns look more like human than long ape hair like the picture shows. Check out the hairline and how close it comes to the eyes and nose of the Orangutan picture! They need to be closer and the cheek part of the hair needs to take more of a shape of a letter C, than a letter J (fill it in more in the middle of the cheek) ! Hope I didn't confuse you, but this is still looking good!

Thanks for the tips, Kent! I wouldn't have noticed the side burn hair if you didn't point it out, and the C shape. I also think the muzzle is too elongated. I'll do some reworking of it. Much appreciated!

I can't wait to see how it comes out! Keep up the great work!:duff

Kfog--Conquest chimp came out really well. Love the way the clothing is not baggy...makes it more like Conquest!

Michael--the sculpts are coming along well. Jaffe looks EXACTLY like how he was drawn! Excellent work!!

I don't know if you remember my old work.

This was my President of the Academy circa 2008.

This is him 2010, same headsculpt underneath, after I whacked off the Apoxie with a hammer. I don't really want to look too closely at it now...because I will probably see something I want to resculpt.

I really want to resculpt Dr. Milo and Aldo. After I do that one Star Wars wolf guy....I will work on my apes. It is now 2013. Another new year to work on apes. Yay!!

I remember thinking that chimp I sculpted last year was just AMAZING... I look at it now and cringe. I never thought to take a hammer to a botched sculpt. I usually try to cut parts off. That might work better. Hmm...

That President sculpt is one of my favorites that ive seen of yours. Just amazing.. I need to totally take off Law Givers hair and start again (for the third time). I don't know what it is about me and orangutan hair, but we don't seem to co-exist. Looking at that President sculpt, I think I know what I need to do to get it right.

The last gorilla for my project, Sata. Yet another expressive ape. This one should be interesting to sculpt. Almost nothing is shown besides her face, so I once again must get creative with her clothing.
