Angel, your repaint of the gorilla really makes a difference to the sculpt! You totally rocked it out. I also love the Caesar open-mouth. Did you need to repaint him or just his dental work?

I just did the dental work. I think I missed my calling to be dentist! Caesar is my fave also Jess. Maybe because I can picture him yelling "Get up and fight like apes!"

Want one of those? Want to trade away one of your Cornelius figures? I really want to buy another Cornelius or do some trading with you... we can work something out I'm sure.

I feel so much better knowing that it was all stress related, and not a minor stroke. I also talked to my Claims manager today and I am relieved of all the financial burdens of visiting the ER with no insurance. She was really nice to me and said that I have been very good on my case claim and will be taken care of. I was tested for everything like plaque, hardening arteries, faulty valves, and aneurism and was negative on all tests which means my heart is healthy. Wow, what stress can do!! Five years worth just became too much. I'm supposed to be laying down for five days, but this thread keeps pulling me back.

Hey Sticks - I haven't worked the last 3 days. I've been feeling bad for about a month also. Stress induced stuff. This thread and making this stuff comforts me... makes the bad go away!

Angel, your dental techniques on these apes are fantastic. Dr. Zaius with an open mouth is really spectacular. I think because you can see their teeth in the movies, I prefer the apes showing their teeth.

Hasslein--I was thinking about your comment about Zira looking pregnant. I think it's because the brown undergarment has an A-line skirt. If you can just sew the skirt part of it closer to her body to make it look more slim as in a hobble skirt, your qualms would be over with that figure.

Steve, did you ever look into the FMLA with your employer? Everyone gets it. You get up to 90 days paid leave for times like this.

FMLA = Family Medical Leave Act. It was passed by the Clinton Administration. One example is guys now get to take time off to be with their wives when they deliver a baby, but can be used for many medical purposes, it also secures your job while you are away so the employer can not penalize you for using it. Please look into it.

It's amazing to me what details are important to everyone. I would have never thought of opening the mouths on the figures, I think it makes Caesar look 100% better... I always wavered back and forth on that sculpt. Somedays I like it, others, not so much.

ANG - The open mouthed Ceasar is amazing. I agree with the post that it looks like Caesar from the "Fight like Apes" scene.

KFOG/ANG - Those Armando boots look perfect.

A Cat & Dog Statue? Armando's helicopter? You guys are awesome! The only thing we're missing is the table that Caesar gets electricuted on.

Hey Angel! It just enhances the figures when you open their mouths and ad teeth. They look more to charactor just as in the movies themselves. The Caesar really stands out. "Now fight like Apes".
