If there ever were enough people here interested in obtaining the camera I would make them for everyone. I'm thinking about $15-$20 each for the camera and tripod package. I'd want at least 5 people committed before ever starting such a project.

I emailed HT when I got my Ursus and told them how I really liked him and asked them if they would give some consideration to do figures from the Ape TV series. They emailed me back about a week later thanking me for the comments and said they would froward my suggestion on to the production team. Hopefully that means that HT at least has plans for more Apes!

Thanks Ironman - I really appreciate that, but this custom chimp just seems all wrong to me. When I feel this way it’s kind of hard to shake that feeling. It’s kind of like Jessica taking a hammer to one of her custom sculpts when she feels it could be better. Currently, I can’t shake that feeling.

I really do like his long hair, so I think he'll make a better gorilla than a chimp. The chimp face just doesn’t look quite right to me. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow, but it’s not looking good for this primate. His (possible) surgical fate just may be decided tomorrow.

I have to hang in there with Ironman Angel! I like your new chimp!

Okay - Thanks Kfog. I'll put you on the list and make the armbands for you within the week (if not sooner.)

Let's see if any others are interested in getting this item made. Attached are a couple pictures of the armbands KFog is referring to. Does anyone else want these made? Please let me know over the next couple days. Now or never... I'm going to make them all at one time.

Say it isn't so!!!! I hope that his source is wrong! I found a new pic of the back of the boxes. Not only do they have Cornelius but they have Zira on the other box. From what I see on Ebay, these are selling really well! I can't see HT droping the line with only these 3 to go on!

Hot Toys just can't stop at the gorillas. The apes must march on!!!

Good question about the ape armbands. ($4.oo each for the armbands.) Get them while they're hot! Now or never, I'm going to make KFog's and I'm going to do them all at the same time this week.

monkeybat sent me a PM today and asked to post some pictures of my custom Ursus helmet. For those of you that received one from me, please give him some feedback on yours.

Perhaps you can even post some pictures of your Ursus wearing it.

Angel did a remarkable job fixing Sideshow's error on the leather section of the helmet. Sideshow also made the helmet too small which isn't as easy a fix. I'd love to see Angel's remedy on a hasbro helmet!!

You can have him in your chimp section, but you have to commit.

I need some concrete orders. Most people never commit by sending money. I don't have the money to buy the required silicone rubber to make the mold for this chimp you want. Let's see how many other people actually want this chimp by taking a quick poll.

The mold cost for a head this size is about $25.00. (This cost can be divided amongst everyone who wants this long haired chimp.)

In addition to that cost, there are shipping fees.

Lastly, there is the cost of the resin sculpt itself. Let’s say the resin sculpt to be $15.00 per chimp head.

Add all that you to get your guessimated price. I’ll bet no one commits. This poll closes September 4th, 2009. I’ll wait that long before I modify the long haired chimp into a gorilla.

Ironman - Are you willing to commit based on the aforementioned?

It's so fun to read the older posts, guys...for instance...after IM put up Lonnie's post, I re-encountered the great Kurgan battle reading just beyond post 499.

And there were rumblings about Nova's likeness soon after that post, too.

Angel I won't be able to commit to your wonderful camera or armbands or even your new chimp because the fun for me is the making of this stuff...as I'm not really a collector (except of debt...and I'm trying to change my shopping habits).

Not really working, though. I just purchased ten 8x10 photos on Feebay for $52.00...since I don't have any photos from the Planet of the Apes except what I have harvested on the internet.

When I get home tonight, I will photograph the Mego heads I have been painting. My back hurts from hunching over...

Anyway, I am also going to start cracking again on sculpting because I am out of practice. I'm giving myself 2 hours to sculpt tonight...and not do any painting.

In addition, I hope to work on Kfog's Taylor blanket.

I tried working on Nova's outfit on Saturday, but I'm not happy and will re-do.

All these things I am doing since I do not have the wefts of hair for my children's gorilla masks. I really have to start cracking on the costumes.
