It has nothing to do with my approval old friend.
Not true. These were NOT the only guys interested.
Not a proposed date. A strict cut off.
I understand that you don't want to help the folks out year round. But you make it sound like no one wants what you're offering when, in fact, its often you that are cutting yourself short.
There's nothing further from the truth Ironman. You need to stop evaluating all that I do and simply take me up on an offer when it’s offered to you. I offered all the people here various heads on countless occasions. I actually have silicone molds for about six different gorilla heads. I made these molds thinking people would buy the resin sculpts, but they don't. The apes aren't as popular as you all might think. Especially when it comes to customized heads. Why should I continue to flush my own money down the toilet by making even more molds?
I’ll say this as a fact. People are just awful for saying they want something and never committing to it. I’ve learned from the past and I can’t make anything until I see the money up front nowadays.
Watch this Ironman.
Jessica, please tell us how many of your custom apes heads you actually sold? I’m betting on three, four at the most. The only reason I’m even guessing that high is because I know I bought two of them.
I have had many ape fans write me over the years saying how I should make “this and that” and how they believed there was market for these items. Sadly, they are all very wrong.
No one is jumping on the bandwagon for any kind of custom-made item. Clearly, I can see that people really don't want custom ape heads. If they did, I would have sold more than 1-3 heads from each silicone mold created.
The greater part of the ape fans really is after the actual figures that are made by the big toy companies. Snickertown and I never understood this. Nearly everyone on this thread says they don't have the money for a custom head or a custom item, yet they spend BIG money on figures from Sideshow and Hot Toys. They always seem to find a way to get those things. Weird huh? I just want something unique in my collection, not something that every Joe has.
Excuse my ramblings; I’m going stop here. I’ve explained this all in the past and it just seems to go over everyone’s head. If you don’t get it, then you don’t get it.
BTW – I just spend $28 to have an (unpainted) resin sculpt of Alex Krycek (X-Files) send to my home. Why? Because I believe that’s a very fair price for a resin head sculpt. I can’t unload the apes for a measly $15 each. The apes aren’t as popular as some might think.
