I do think that Comedian or Rorsach would have been a better choice. But, hot chicks from Hot Toys. What can I say?

Now I didn't say that she wasn't hot. :naughty

But hot chick figures are kinda hard to slip passed the missus.

I just got my shipping notice as well. The three gorillas will be at my door step on Spetember 11th!!! And I paid ony $15 for shipping... that's $5 per monkey!!! :banana:banana:banana

I got no notice from Alter Ego. And I ordered way back in January. :(

Correction: just got it!!

Come to think of it. The shipment from Hong Kong took a week, door to door, so I should have this on Tuesday? maybe Wednesday? :banana

Alright!

I also got my order confirmation today, 9/11 is the arrival date! Woo Hoo.

My wife informs me that she authorized payment for my trio from Viking's Playground. I opught to have them in no more than a week!Happy birthday to me(3 weeks late).
Also, looking over the reply from Hot Toys, it does not say specifically that there will be no more Apes. It says that they can't confirm whether the'll do more; essentially, a non-answer(gotta love the business mentality).
And the next Watchmen figure is the Comedian, for those that haven't heard..PS

Hey Jess, you want us to rough up Viesure a bit for you?

What are you speaking of I-man? I still see Angels pics on earlier posts...

You scared me, To loose his pictures of his work on this thread would be a fiasco!

Really? I started rereading this thread from the beginning on Tuesday and there hasn't been a pic of his yet. And I'm up to the 7900's at this point.

Post # 14332 of Angel's still has his Galen pics... It may be another one of those Hasseline curves. I can see it and maybe you don't.

You can have him in your chimp section, but you have to commit.

I need some concrete orders. Most people never commit by sending money. I don't have the money to buy the required silicone rubber to make the mold for this chimp you want. Let's see how many other people actually want this chimp by taking a quick poll.

The mold cost for a head this size is about $25.00. (This cost can be divided amongst everyone who wants this long haired chimp.)

In addition to that cost, there are shipping fees.

Lastly, there is the cost of the resin sculpt itself. Let’s say the resin sculpt to be $15.00 per chimp head.

Add all that you to get your guessimated price. I’ll bet no one commits. This poll closes September 4th, 2009. I’ll wait that long before I modify the longhaired chimp into a gorilla.
Ironman - Are you willing to commit based on the aforementioned?

I won't be making a mold of the longhaired male chimp, which a couple of you had requested. No one committed to this project by the proposed date. The Armando Project was the only project were people committed in big numbers. I don’t know why that is. He’s a human and it appears as if almost everyone really wants apes. It’s weird.

thats only a few hundred posts ago. i'm talking all the OLD stuff.

Thats a shame. I don't think its an ape versus human thing so much as its the tight time frame. Armando seemed to have had time to develop, commit, get the money, wait for it to be finished, tweaked, delivered.
A lot of what you do, seems to me, is very much "buy it now or forget it". It doesn't always work that way. If you can get people to commit than thats half the battle. Have you ever made something here for someone who hasn't paid you? Honestly, just asking. I really don't know your business.
So far just today you've voided out doing this sculpt and the camera. I understand that these are time consuming for you, but maybe don't offer them if you really don't want to make them.
I only wish I had more disposeable income now. I still want the Caesar statue, the Galen sculpt, hell there's at least 6 other sculpts, the Mendez busts And thats just your stuff. I still regret not being able to get that wagon.

Money sent for those fabulous armbands Angel!:angelsmil

Don't miss out people, they are super cool!:banana

Hi Proto! Did you order from Alteregocomics?

Yeah, I'd like to know; I wanted to place an order with Alterego, but the shipping came up $33 for 3 figures (and I live in a neighboring state !). I sent an inquiry to Marc, but haven't heard back.
Also, Ursus and the Gorilla Captain are showing as "In Stock", but the gorilla Soldier says "Pre-order"; an e-mail I got from them indicated everything was in stock?

That shot was so fast, that I didn't even see it!

:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

Bloody imageshack and photobucket accounts!!!

OK. Here he is again. Grrr.....

Ironman - I like to make ape related things for people when I feel inspired to do so. When this does happen, I have to have the time available. Both of these projects had strict deadlines because I’m about to get busy with my own projects once again. I plan on devoting my time, to my projects.

I don’t make these things for folks year round. Making “repeats” of items that I’ve already made is not very exciting or inspirational. This is just the way it is; I’m sorry you don’t approve. I guess I could be like some of those other artists who take your money now and delivery your items many years later. I don’t do that. I commit a span of time for you, my customers, in the event you're interested in an getting item.
