Hey that's great. I'll bring my little house I'm building. Mind if I rummage around your yard for some sticks?
Did Apes use wooden beams? Not many trees around my neighborhood that would offer the type needed.
Sticks I do remember that the ceiling height of their rooms were too tall to see any beams...but if you make it southwestern, I think it would look cool and ape-like.

I brought the subject up again. My husband said no...but my mom said she would come along, so I can really see myself going there and not having WWIII at home.
I didn't even ask him. My son asked which convention we were going to again...and I said San Diego Comic Con...and my husband right away said "NO!" even though he was not part of the conversation. Grrr...

As much as I'd like to say yes to that Jessica, I can't afford to go there. I don't even take real vacations. When I'm on vacation, I am at home. The closet thing I ever get to a real vacation is visiting family members that live out of state during the holidays. Sorry, I just want you to know that you can't count on me being there.

It does that over there. Remember, it is a primarily military forum. You just have to keep reviving the thread by infusing some new Ape-isms. from time to time.
It's why I never posted over there. Not enough ape goodness like I can find here.

Hey guys, I completed 2 of the 4 glyphs for the President. Tomorrow, when the apoxie sculpt dries, I'll lightly sand them and touch them up just a bit.
I also got my paws on that gorilla Grodd with the open mouth and fangs. I'm not sure what I think of him as POTA gorilla. I'm going to work on him so he looks less like a Tim Burton gorilla and more like a POTA gorilla. We'll see how that goes.

I'm curious Sticks - Why do you call it a fly wall? Does that word have some kind of meaning? Whatever you do will look good, I know that. Just look at those photos posted yesterday for some inspiration. Maybe you can even steal a window shape from them, a certain angle that combines with another angle, and/or some interesting overhangs, etc. You don't want your project to look like a "flat" rock wall. All of the curves and angles should all flow together and merge as a very interesting piece of art for the eye to look at.
Yeah maybe a fly wall isn't the right term for this project but generally they're walls that can be brought in quickly to fill the frame. Fly em in, fly em out.
Lets say the scene calls for a guy leaning against a wall near a pay phone. After you establish teh place and push in you can use a single wall with the payphone on it and shoot anywhere, as long as the lighting matches. Does that make sense?
