Angel I'm so excited to look at your President!!

I'm really excited about getting home and just picking up where I left off on the El Presidentee project. This has been in the making for a couple years. He is the 3rd head sculpt I ever did and he still holds water to me. I like him.

Not much longer... Not much longer until he's sporting his new coat. :angelsmil

Jessica - Not that I need it, but did you ever find your artwork of the glyphs? I know exactly what the glyphs look like. However, I do have to guess, just a little, for the ones under his hair and upon his shoulders.

I found my artwork but it's so WRONG compared to the screenshots! I'll post them tonight...I guessed at his shoulders, too...

Guess what? I removed the teeth from the Gorilla Captain! I'll have to post photos tonight when I get home.

I was thinking of selling my unboxed Sideshow Gorilla and Excl. Ursus, anyone want these?
I'll let them both go for $40, I still own the boxes and can send them that way or together in a much smaller box to save shipping.
PM me if anyone is interested.

Angel and Jess, can't wait to see what you've done.
Screamimg, oh is the timing so wrong. I'd love to grab a few more gorillas but just can't right now. Sorry.
I popped ol' Ursus head off of his HT body. To my surprise it transferred easily onto a BBi G3.5 body. AND, the neck stud from the BBi fit properly on the HT! Why am I excited over this? Well, on other HT's I've had the neck or head swap always needed some "adjusting". If these all work in the same manner, and there's no reason to think they wouldn't, then any type of head could be mounted on the HT's using a G3 or G1 neck adapter or similar HT neck adapter. I am trying to get a little more painting done, gorillas still being the easiest to paint, but chimps moving up on the "ok" list. Those pesty orangutans still causing the most trouble. I have even attempted a genetic transfer. I'll post pix as soon as its complete, a few pieces of the final version are eluding me.
I have to yet get a decent pic of the Fat Man I did and see what you think of the skintone. My satisfaction with him varies daily.
But, at least I'm getting something accomplished, albeit slowly.
I still want to try another partition wall and see how it comes out. Then, maybe the stacked stone partition.
Ok, later simians!!

Thanks guys for the pics, but I'm looking for a house door. It's got that certain grain to it. All the chimp/ape doors have it. I know Angel posted pics long time ago when he was taking scans from the dvd, so I'll be buried for a while looking for them. Gulp.

I don't know how long ago, but I just read thru this entire thread a week oe so ago, and none of Angel's older pix were still there.

I'm just getting back, yep all of his pics are gone. :huh Oh well, that's too bad, they were very resourceful. I'll search again later.

I posted a couple of times asking what happened. Never got an answer. i'll try and go thru all my POTA pics again and see what I have.

Where did you ever get that artwork? I feel really good about getting the glyphs right on him. I'd say they are near perfect.

It'll be interesting to see where you go with this. I would have started by making his teeth smaller. Sounds like you made him toothless.

This is exciting to hear Ironman. I'm really glad you're getting so involved with everything. Keep it going! :angelsmil

KFog - Where are you?

OK. Let's get serious, now...

I removed the top teeth altogether, because I tried to cut off the bottom of it and it still looked bucky...so he became toothless...and I reshaped some sculpey clay on the bottom jaw, where the teeth should have been to begin with. This will still need curing and then painting, and then touching up around the lip area...but he looks loads better!!

No sweat IM, I found one.
Sorry, I was only about half way thru them. :(

Exciting, yet aggravating. I'll say it again, you were right about the gorillas. I'll paint them everyday. I'd even paint them for others. Chimps? Almost there. Not as easy as the gorillas, but definitely close. Those orangutans are killing me. I can't get the face shade or the hair color right.

Jess/Angel what size should a piece of material be for a 1:6 bandana? Should it be a square or more rectangle?

I really want to change the face on an HT but am hesitant to "pop" it off. I already broke two hands today on another figure I was trying something on. That damn lack of patience is my worst enemy.

Oops! Wrong terminology! I meant my doodles!!
