Always. Jessica, have you ever made a gorilla Soldier outfit yet? I'd love one. Bandolier, Vest, Belt, Boots, Tunic, and Trousers

I just might have to join you on your holy crusade at SDCC.

I only made a soldier outfit for my kids, Sticks. It's the same principle but on a smaller scale than a grownup scale...plus I only used the cheapest fabrics (not leather but fleece or felt for the gorilla tunics). The boots I have not done yet but I know what to do...trousers/undershirt material can be purchased from the UK (it's actually a pair of pajamas). The only thing that would be super pricey would be the pullover, but what I make is movie quality to me. Plus if you hire a seamstress/tailor, they could basically put together the whole outfit for you and if they happen to know special effects they can make a deluxe pullover, too.

Sixx--that was really Matt Falls' sculpt...the forehead and hair needed to be reworked but otherwise it was perfect. Of course, a repaint was necessary, too. I love how the hands turned out. What you did looks perfect because that's what makes you happy. Do customs to things folowing your vision, and you will never have any regrets.

I also reviewed the great stuff in the album. While looking at one of the photos, a quote popped into my head: “You cut up his brain!” and thought why that quote?… and THEN the custom Landon registered fully.

By any chance, do you still sell the gorilla head with open mouth resin castings (as seen in the photo from the album)?

I sell them with FREE shipping for $30 each. If you buy 3 or more I'd be willing to get you special pricing. These heads would be unpainted and you would have to drill the neck holes. Sixx, thanks. I did see the "before" pictures. I was curious if the hair / fur was done in layers or more like a sheet of fabric on the head. I've made one chimp using fabric / wig / sheet and it was kinda ok. But yours looks like a different material and looks better than mine.

One of these days I'm going to have to try my hand at hairing a 1:6 figure. It's probably the same as 1:1 scale, except no sewing involved. I may start with the Cornelius I sculpted, since I already have his mold. I just have to find it.

I rewatched one of the TV series episodes. Kept pausing actually so I can review the makeup. The teeth are super brown! In chimps and gorillas...

I'm so tired...Another sleepless night. Sticks I hope that I can sleep well tonight. I guess I was too busy thinking of all the projects I need to do next and I just couldn't stop thinking.

Anybody take any new fun photos? Pompy--you still out there playing with your gorillas? Let's see some action shots, guys.

Sticks if we do a little at a time it could be affordable...I can pretty much create the entire outfit, including the leather gloves. For boots you will have to send me what you are going to wear and I can gorilla-fy them. When you get hired out in Hollywood for your movies, we can start slowly.

Sixx, I love seeing the apes all haired up. It just looks a bit stiff/long under the chin area to me. Maybe its the angle? Regardless, its still quite a prize!
