This thread is a monster, I cant believe how long it is.

I have one question, have there been any really cool customs in the last year?

Too busy, eriks, chasing other projects, so I have not completed anything. I have been more successful though in sculpting my apes, and here are the tribunal orangutans:

Plus my modified Hot Toys gorilla:

And my beloved Julius:

There are some awesome schlockgorillas a few pages back...and a fabulous haired up Cornelius...Matt is hairing up and painting Sixx's Caesar.

And for fun my gorilla samurai:

Alex Lopez is going to be sculpting for us Peter Burke. I have not seen him yet but I have complete faith in Alex.

Oh yeah...modified Caesar that still needs painting:

Good news guys! That Mongolian fake fur now comes in dark brown (was going to use it for chimps). Found it here: https://www.imstuffedfur.com/

It's $28/square yard. Thinking about getting swatches...plus seeing if it comes in a light tan/blonde for the orangutans.

First we heard about the upright gorilla. Now a Nintendo-playing gorilla! Good grief what's next? World domination, that's what!

Thanks for all the recent posts. I always look forward to visiting this thread.

My spare time is so limited, I haven't been able to do much.:monkey2
..but at least I have a job during these tough times.

Here's a work in progress (unpainted, etc.)...

Wow! That looks great! I'm going to see what I can do with the swatch of Mongolian fur I already have here that my friend sent me.

Oh yikes--so many things to do. I've got to tweak Mathilda's boots and then I can send her off on her merry way.

Lucky you have a job during these tough times, TDP...I don't miss my job at the slavemines but I do miss steady money.

I don't think this drawing has been posted before, has it?

:clap great posts everyone.

I thought I should try to contribute to the thread a little...

For inspiration, I watched several episodes of the Planet of the Apes TV series while working on these. I cannot seem to get the teeth small enough though. I know we keep saying it, but I really wish Hot Toys would crank out some more 1/6 scale apes.

TDP--have you thought about coloring the teeth a little more brown? Perhaps the teeth are just the right size but they pop out because they are too white.

Darkness Predator: That chimp looks great all haired up! :hi5:

The General, repaint, weathering, and some hair..and some magic.
Still needs some tweaking.. I'm slowly getting there with the collection.
The helmet is a hasbro, with some bending, and bending, and paint..
