It Would be somewhere in between Battle and Planet. but the timeline in general is something that has always been questioned. Some say that the films, TV series and animated series all stand alone.

I've got some exciting news ape fans...

My better half and I are planning a trip out west this summer for a few weeks. Part of our trip includes a number of days in Page AZ! I will finally get to see Lake Powell, the place where POTA started. I want to see if I can find the place where Taylor's ship crashed.

I plan on taking my Medicom apes and my SS Astronaut Taylor along so I can take some pictures. I really can't wait.

We are also planning to visit Sedona AZ, Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. If time permits we may also take in the Painted Desert and Monument Valley.

Anybody been out there? Any suggestions on what else we should see?

Awesome stuff!

Lake Powell looks like a great background for some figure pics.

(…from a suggestion a while back) I did try to test fit a General's helmet on my custom Schlockorillas soldiers, but it would not fit without modifications.

It will be months before I can work on my big "more apes Hot Toys" demonstration idea. :(

Here is one of the figures I finally completed:

Jungle--I can't wait to see your photos!!!! I've never been to any of those places. Have fun out there.

Pompy--watching the TV series is one of my guilty pleasures. The TV series is really awful, no? I remember fighting with my sisters over the TV if the series was on--good times! I can usually only stomach my 3 favorite episodes now...just hearing Roddy's voice really puts me in a good mood all day.

TDP--your sculpts/paints are coming along fabulously!! I really like your chimp protester. Or is it protestor?

Guy whatever happened to Hasslein? You would think he would chime in, seeing that Sixx is into Conquest. I wonder how his Conquest figures are coming along?

Thanks. :)

The encouragement, guidance, other’s wonderful creations have been inspirational.

It is sculpted / bashed over Hot Toys’ TrueType TTM14 (photo).

Speaking of “Conquest,” I need to purchase a few green, red, and yellow 1/6 scale jumpsuits (reference originals below). I’ve seen a few on eBay that look similar but thought I should consult the experts. I’ve read through some old post and saw the “mad bomber” jumpsuit was recommended.

For example, I am thinking I should purchase this yellow GI Joe jumpsuit:

Oh he looks way better as an ape. I love how you sculpted the hair and it matches really well with what was already there.

That jumpsuit looks pretty good. All you need are thin yellow ribbons to fake the zippered pockets.

Going through old photos and I didn't realize that I had taken this one:

Sixx how did your visit go with Matt? How come he doesn't want to visit us in Central City anymore? I miss chattering with him. Did you see Snick's Icarus he's working on? Any photos you can share with us?

Few MONKEY updates..

Just got the wig from china.. I dont like it, complete ass..

I saw the space ship, well, the many parts of it.. I'm gonna leave this one alone.. Not looking to step on anyones toes..

Matt & his family are very nice people. He lives roughly 14 minutes away.. My wife and I hung out with him. Very cool.. He knows his apes..

In terms of my ape to do list with Matt, I'm excited & afraid at the same time. Only time will tell..

If that makes any sense..

Hey guys one question:

In what stage of the POTA timeline fits the POTA TV Series?...

IIRC, the date established in the POTA TV show was 3085 AD. BATTLE occurs in the early 21st century, the original PLANET occurred in 3955 AD. So the TV show occurs roughly in the middle, between the 5th & 1st films.

Isn't that what I said?

Hate to pick a nit but the events in the original Planet of the Apes films occur in 3978. For reasons unknown that totally perplex me, FOX was changed the date to "three niner five five" for Brent's arrival in Beneath.

Guys I have to figure out how to do this for Zira and Cornelius so that their poses could be more realistic. I swear, I'm going to do it one day.

Hi Jess! Looks like the perfect sculpt to make a chimp from! Even the lips look correct!

ouch on that price.

I've seen some similar Bruce Lee heads (with eye movement) sell for around $30. I purchased a 2.5 version Bruce Lee body for an ape (back left in photo). I think it was around $40.

2.5 is more hunched/slouched at the neck and shoulders.

...sorry you can't tell much in the photo, I hastily took some photos before leaving home for the airport.

I would love to see your (Jessica’s) magic on a Bruce Lee head transformation. “…A planet where apes evolved from men…”

TDP--then that would mean only one ape will have those type of moveable eyes. I need to figure out how to make the moveable eyes and install them on my current apes because that would make the photography so much easier when you don't have to camouflage their eyes with their brow ridges as you photograph them. It would make a dinner party much easier to photograph!! I would really love to photograph a dinner party. Someday...someday...

How come I never encounter cool graffiti like this?

TDP--that last gorilla photograph is simply amazing! Love what you did to the teeth. Looks so much better!! And great investment on those schlockgorillas...they really make the photograph so much more spectacular don't they? I like how your characters are their own individual beings--not duplicates of each other. That makes your Ape City so cool.

I found two photos on line of that Urko painted up:
