40-gun salute in Ape City! Guess what??? No, not chicken butt...! I finally met a "friend" on facebook in person who is as much an ape fan as me. And he is my neighbor!! He only lives 2 miles away from me. His body type is PERFECT for Cornelius...he said that he will be my Escape Cornelius. He's 5' 4" and I'm 4'11" so his mission is to find an old suit in that plaid pattern. They've got tons of those at Goodwill stores...and I will start up on my Escape Zira clothes and we will hit Wondercon in costume come next spring.

I don't know how I'm going to do it but I will be gluing down 3 ape faces and will make the three of us up. I'll probably wake up super early, put on my makeup, and then work on theirs in tandem. Oh YAY!!

I actually went to a makeup party today. Not just a makeup party but a freaking real FX makeup party. OK so most of the makeup was Zombie related, so I have that under my belt...but today I gave an upexpected seminar on foam latex. Whoda thunk? Huh? It's a crazy world guys...and yes so happy I found a Cornelius. So stoked about that.

My friend said he had always wanted to be made up as an ape but when I asked him last year if he could be my Cornelius I think I scared him away...so it was really awesome for me to meet him in person and that I'm not really that scary at all.

PZ--got my Kung Fu Panda posters today in the mail. So awesome of you to send it! I will frame it and put one poster in each of my boy's bedrooms, now that I have 3 of them!!

Hi everyone I had a great time on my vacation in the southwest and I will be posting some great shots of my Sideshow Taylor on the shores of Dead Lake in the Forbidden Zone (Lake Powell).

Unfortunately, we were supposed to fly out of Vegas tonight but because of the bad weather in NYC we had to change our flight. I will be arriving home tuesday morning, so you can expect to see some shots on Wendsday. I'll tell you all about it then.

I don't think I have. It may not be a still from any cut scene but a behind the scenes photo. Heston was known to keep a journal so it may be a photo of him writing an entry during some down time. He later had those journal published.

Has anybody read them... or at least the "Planet" and "Beneath" entries? Very interesting insights.

I returned from the Forbidden Zone today. I am badly Jet Lagged and really tired and disorientated.

Time really does bend and the space in the american southwest is indeed boundless...

I will post some shots tomorrow when I regain my full faculties.

Yeah its not a spectacular PF but I only collect 1/4 scale stuff and Zaius is it. I really dig him, got the Reg in the vid for a nice price and then pimped him with the pretend doll.
