Man, I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family. I don't know what I'd do myself. When my Dad went in for heart procedure a couple weeks ago I was beyond worried what might happen. It was just a normal thing he said but I was as worried as I've ever been.

I know how you feel.January will be 14 years since I lost my Dad.I was 24 at the time .It's never easy but sometimes it does help to talk about it or just get a little time to yourself.I've lost several loved ones in the last few years and it truly sucks but I realise they are in a far better place waiting for the rest of us.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad in 2005 and still to this day I miss him with every breath I take. It is a hard thing, this thing called life. But remember the good times and always keep your heart and head held high, for this is what he would want for you. Bless you, you will be in my thoughts.

Take care man. I know it hurts and it's going to hurt. Don't forget, your Pops is still with you. Make him proud.

God bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My dad is not only my father but my best friend and the one person I can turn to no matter what and I don't know how I'll handle it when the inevitable happens. You'll be in my thoughts an prayers. Stay tough brother.

so sorry for your loss, hang in there and always remember the great times you shared, i know its tough but remember that your dad is now looking out for you from a better place.

I really want to thank everyone for their wishes, prayers and condolences. Today is our down day, most things that can be taken care of without a death certificate have been done. We went and did shopping yesterday for my dad (always wanted to go in his tux, which doesnt fit him so we got him a new one) and for us. The obituary is out so people that don't know sure know now. It's just all very draining and we have two days to go yet, the hardest two days. *Sigh* Just so much to do yet, but we do have a lot of help. Again though, thanks for all the well wishes from everyone here. Truly the Freaks are some of the best folks around.

Just read this , I'm sorry for your loss my prayers are with you and your family. If you ever need to vent, we are here for you. Or just send a PM, seriously.

As hard as this is, and although you have a lot on your mind, don't forget to take care of yourself. Do a little shopping and buy yourself something stupid, it does have a magical way of distracting you.

Already did! I got the Hasbro Assault on the Shield Generator battle pack (mainly for the new Han Solo). That and the fact I needed a new suit, well I managed to get a $450 Nautica suit, plus a separate shirt and tie for $167 at a local department store. JC Penny wanted $170 for a basic no name suit! So yea, I didn't forget to get something for me as a distraction but tonight we have the viewings so it's going to be very difficult. Thankfully we have a strong support network of friends and family to help us through it.
