someone suggested isabella scorupco. she's much older, but i can see her in the role too. she's sexy.

anyway, whomever they end up with, even eliza or scarlett or any of the above, they're all still way hotter than the super-bland gwyneth paltrow. bleh.

I love Scarlett, but for acting ability and conveying a tough girl image - it's Eliza hands down. And I'd have more Faith in believing Eliza could do a Russian accent over Scarlett.

phooey, I just read the article - it's just Eliza saying she'd like the role, whereas Scarlett has actually met on it. Eliza has also said she'd like to play Wonder Woman and Supergirl.

Yeah Eliza is saying she'd like to be in it but then again Marvel could take notice because no one may have considered her. If Scarlett gets it it'll definitely be a very different Black Widow than either Eliza Dushku or Emily Blunt.

That's not necessarily true. At one time or another Beyonce went on and on about wanting to be Wonder Woman without ever having met with anyone related to that film that is in predevelopment hell. Charisma Carpenter I believe did the same thing. Actors/Actresses foam at the mouth about what roles they want to play all the time, its so if they weren't considered they will be or a cue to their agents to get on the phone. Nothing more.

Yeah I would. Emily Blunt's casting as a Russian Agent a few months back had everyone speculating that it was Black Widow and when she was forced to drop a few weeks back it was acknowledged that she'd play Widow, so it wouldn't be that hard for Dushku to figure it out.

Remember when Eva Longoria met with Marvel Entertainment carrying Avengers comics? Everyone swore up and down it'd be for The Wasp yet nothing came of it.

Well, we've seen what Dushku would look like in the outfit. In Jay and Silent Bob she wore something very close to BW's outfit. Kevin Smith even said he took the Bowen BW statue to the costume department and said to make the suits look as close as they could without getting sued.

Eliza will play a Russian in an upcoming episode of Dollhouse. Will have to see what her accent is like. Not really sold on Scarlet as BW. Sure, she would fill the outfit, but there's something off about her in that role. Then again, she might surprise and do an excellent job if picked.
