Had the same problem when I moved in to my new house. We were finding them everywhere. We just had the bug dude come in and spray and they disappeared.

These are Emperor Scorpions. The movies love them because they are the biggest of Scorpions and they are black so they look meaner.

They also have the benefit of being the least venomous of all scorpions. When I was raising them, I had read that their sting is equal to about 1/3 of a bee sting.

Ok, granules it is then. :duff

I've heard good things about Fallout3, I think I might pick up the poor man's version BORDERLANDS. You on 360 or PS3? And thanks Jinxxy!

360

I screwed up and got the "regular" version for $20 at BB on BF, but liked the game so much and went out and bought both the expansion packs for another $30. The "game of the year" edition can be found for $40-$50 and includes another expansion only available on that disk or Xbox Live (Mothership Zeta). I highly recommend this game (if you have the time to play, it is time consuming as hell), best game I've played since bioshock.

I saw another scorpion in the parking at work walking to my car at end of day. It was a hot summer day and I was just looking at the ground and screamed like a little girl when I almost stepped on it. It was already dead, run over or stepped on previously, but the thing was huge. The body was around 6", not including the tail. It was also a greenish color, which I thought was really weird, because all the ones I've seen are usually brown. It was also strange that it was in the middle of a asphault parking lot.

I've had friends catch them in their homes and then put them in a drinking glass (they can't climb out) and just watch them till the eventually die. I always felt bad when they did this. I hate the damn things and would immediately kill them if in my house, but I dont like to see them suffer helpless in a drinking glass. :lol

We don't have them around here, but if I saw one outside, I would think it was cool and never kill it. If I found one inside, I would scoop it up in something and take it over to my neighbors and turn it loose. :D

I find big spiders that sneak in during the summer all the time. I just scoop them up and take them outside. The only thing that bothers me are these nasty things. BLAH!

Don't move to Ohio then either because we have all kinds of wacky bugs here. Camping when you're younger cures you of that fear. When you lay in your tent and you don't know what's crawling on you......well, you learn what can hurt you and what can't.

Another bug I HATE! They have butt pinchers that can actually cut you!

No kidding! :lol

I was travelling one time and I was in Costa Rica, and I was staying in one place, and I kept finding scorpions in my bedroom and shower room. But they were the tinyest ones i'd ever seen. I didn't worry me enough to move until I woke up one night in the middle of the night to find one on my leg, inside my mosquito net. :horror I was gone the next morning. :lol

I find it difficult enough to sleep knowing that there could be spiders in my garden :( couldnt imagine waking up with a scorpion in my bed :sick

*hugs british soil*

:lecture Thats the only thing i cant deal with either. I wish we could have a world without insects, but in this area, dont have too many bug problems except for stupid, annoying moths.

BTW- what kind of scorpions are in AZ?
