I love the little horror-movie music cue they use when Scott says "me and Kim are fine" and they pan over to THAT. :lol

Rented this today. The movie was alright. I'm not blown away by it but I didnt hate it either. Parts of it where funny and parts not so much. I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.

I need a real quick opinion if any SP fans are reading right now:

I just finished book 5. Will I ruin anything by watching the movie at this point? The people here are looking to put the movie in soon, but I'm fighting it because I haven't read book 6 yet.

Opinions?

Well, I read the books and the sixth one is definitely a read before you watch the movie. All though some of the book is out of context with the movie. I say just watch the movie if your not that big on the movie and the book contradicting themselves in some points.

Nope. At least, I didn't think so. They aren't the same. Actually, according to Brian Lee O'Malley, very little of the sixth book made it into the film because it had begun production before he even started on writing the final book.

Well, technically who Scott ends up with is the same in both stories and the final villain is the same, but the events and how they unfold are very different in both works.

So I think you're safe.

Thanks for the responses! :rock

Actually, I was able to tear through volume 6 before they started the movie. Movie is starting in minutes.... can't wait! :panic:

I liked bits here and there in this movie but, some parts were very retarded.

Omg, I finally got around to watching this movie. I have to say that this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Granted, I'm a bit partial because I love comic books, video games, and movies. Seeing as how this movie perfectly blends those elements with a peculiar sense of humor, a bit of psychadelia, and an awesome musical score then I'd say that I'm a happy camper.

Two thumbs = way up.
