My biggest problem with it is it just looks bad on Sideshow's part to me. But I don't think its the travesty some seem to think.

Seeing as Endor is a forest moon, you'd think he'd have no problems finding a tree to squat behind!

While I still don't like the idea of them doing this piece, I'm sure it'll look better when we see the whole thing. It was a given that he would have one foot on a rock or something, since I don't think it's even possible to stand in a crouched position like that with your feet flat on the ground. I imagine they're going for a "state of cat-like readiness" pose. The way they cropped the image accentuates the "diaper" while also obscuring what he's standing on. Not the most flattering.

People are exaggerating. I haven't compared them side-by-side, but I don't think the legs are bent as much on this one as the one on the speeder bike.

The body of the original Scout Trooper was made of foam and had limited articulation to begin with. I think they have some wiggle room when it comes to the pose, while still using the original armor pieces.

I still really hope there isn't a really great exclusive, and that they haven't turned this into a companion piece to the original. If it's intended to be complementary and they give us a photo of the two together looking like a team, I might at least consider it.

problem with a companion piece is that the original is supposed to be a scout traveling fast on the speederbike so being shown with one standing on the ground does not seem right.
