How embarrassing.

Even if they wanted to be cheap, they could have straightened one leg and had the other perched on a fallen tree. That would have resulted in only making a new sculpt for the one boot with a flat foot. It would have been better than the "take a dump" pose they are using.

If the exclusive accessory is a pile of poop to display under him then I think we'll know its just a joke. We'll just have to see.

Maybe this release is being dictated by Lucasfilm. I wonder if George told SSC to release a "Special Edition" Scout Trooper PF that no longer contains much loved elements of the original release.

I wouldn't be surprised if these are just left overs from the scout+bike run. I imagine a lot of bikes came with damage and needed replacement (mine did) - whereas the troopers were fine...

I like it so far. Not everyone has the space to dislay large pieces like the speeder bike. Will probably buy this especially if the exclusive is nice.

As has been pointed out many times - just because they make a particular character, it isn't preventing another character getting made down the line.

And this release didn't use ANY resources at all - no new sculpting, no new tooling - not even any art direction - he's in the same pose! It's perfect for those that feel they can't afford the Scout and Bike and those of us who were SW PF completeists have been completely cured of this expensive and random affliction.

So stop your bellyaching.

Could not have put it better. That is my governing sentiment here. Time. This was a waste of time. We could have had another character. Even a repeat a major character in a different costume (like they did with Luke) would have been preferable.

I think everyone who collected Master Replicas stuff is nodding their heads right now. I don't have any reason to think that Sideshow won't continue to make Star Wars collectibles for many years to come, but there are no guarantees.

Of course if this really doesn't take any time away from other possible PFs then I guess there's no harm done, except for the fact that it makes the biker scout PF seem a bit less special.

I REALLY hope that Sideshow wouldn't be foolish enough to try and sell a statue which was designed PURELY to be in a SEATED position as a standing pose! It looks RIDICULOUS in the preview image because quite clearly, he should be sitting on the bike not standing up.
Just the most HORRIBLE release to date in my opinion.
If they re-sculpted the legs to be in a natural standing pose, it would be a lot better.

but seriously I don't think this project took any time away from developing a new character in PF form and I don't think it takes away anything from the Scout Trooper on Speeder bike's appeal. I do think it allows scout trooper fans that can't afford or don't have room for the speeder bike version to have a scout trooper in their collection.
