Hogwash. This is a high-end collectible statue. Hasbro released an Unleased Slave Leia that showed as much booty as the GG prototype and the Unleashed Padme also had gigantically erect nipples. And those were TOYS that could be found by kids in any Wal-Mart.

An odd time for Lucasfilm to get all pious about this sord of thing if you ask me.

I own both of those Unleashed figures. Leia isn't in as such a sexy pose as this statue; she's standing not lounging, and I wouldn't call Padme's nipples Gigantically erect. But the statues are sexy. And I remember at the time there was a lot of controversy about them. I think there were some stores that pulled them off the peg. It's something I think Lucasfilm is trying to avoid from then on.

yeah, forget the Tantrum part and go kill a whole village of tusken raiders, charred remains of skywalkers, feeding a dancing chick to a rancor, decapitating Dooku, chopping hands off left and right, guns here and there, gambling is great if you win a Millenium Falcon out of it, and uh... killing kids with lightsabers cuz of order 66... still child friendly

Unfortunately, sex is more controversial than violence in America. Look at movie ratings for example (not my personal beliefs by the way). I do think That Lucas was more liberated in the late 70's and early 80's then today. It's why I don't remember anything as sexy as Leia in a metal bikini or a dancing green slave girl with her nipples clearly visible through mesh netting in the prequels.
I do think people see a huge difference in what is acceptable in a toy, statue, or any collectible, than a movie. Something that's more tangible can't get away with something that is fleeting on film.
It's why Hasbro has released 4" Star Wars figures with a bloody hand stump and immediately stopped painting blood on them for the rest of the release, they either were told to stop doing that or made a decision to stop on their own intuition. But you can clearly see blood in that scene in the Cantina in ANH, something they can't get away with on a collectible.

I know I said I wished I could cancel my preorder of GG Slave Leia but I seen better pictures of the new sculpt, and she still looks amazing. This is still the best sculpt of Leia in my opinion.

on the note of Leia, i'm still gonna get mine. only thing that sucks is that this is NOT a toy, not necessarily out for the overall public unless a museum displays it... it's a collector's piece. not sold in retail stores like walmart or target or even toys r us.
