Freaked Out
Darthneil,
Maybe Rudy can play Earth X cap down the road.

He's got the jawline.
And they've even already got a 1/6 toy out of him so HT could just use that head sculpt.
Gentlemen.. I think we've found our Cap.
sirrobert said:Clever, Darthneil very clever you are. I have never seen that version of Hamlet. I know of it but little else. You've piqued my interest.
And yes Gosling would be driven enough to go through the rigors of gaining and losing the weight to play both Steve Rogers and Captain America. My only concern is would he be conflicted about playing a character with such a loaded identity. Last I heard, a while ago mind you, was that Gosling doesn't want to be consumed by the capitalist machine of the States. But who knows? If cast such sentiment might give Gosling's performance that much more nuance.
I like the Brannagh Hamlet very much. Much of Shakespeare's wit and ribaldry is kept intact. I am going to act in a pared down production of Hamlet as Laertes and it pains me to know that Hamlet's "Hecuba" solioquy in Act II or the discourse tween the clown and Gravedigger of Act V will not be performed in our production.
Have you seen Tropic Thunder yet? If you have not I recommend it. The first seven minutes will leave you pissing in your pants especially the scene with Kurt Lazarus and a web slinging co-star. The potential Marvel crossover you mentioned brought it to mind.
We can get Matt Damon some stilts and let him be Cap. No?
As long as the english is american english it doesn't matter where the actor is from. There MUST be no trace of a foreign accent however.
Why not? The whole country is just immigrants! Or maybe cap. Am. should be native American?
Feore fits the bill. Though "The Chronicles of Riddick" stunk. How does Vin Diesel keep finding work?
As for Ryan Reynolds he carries too much baggage in my opinion.
