I have four Marmits; a couple were bought MISB, a couple used/open. Whether it was how they were stored/displayed or the plastic batch from the factory, all four have different yellowing; one has none, it's high white. Another is slightly yellow or cream-coloured; the other two display significant yellowing.

I understand that according to some sources, the original ANH armour was milky as opposed to harsh white, but the yellowing I've seen is a product of time/decay.

I will be repainting all the suits as time and funds allow; while I'm handy with a Foredom and can sculpt/model, precision paint work (as opposed to simple weathering) is not my strong suit so I'll be outsourcing that.

Why not use the hydrogen peroxide trick to restore the white vinyl?

whats the hydrogen peroxide trick?

I have a sandtrooper and stormtrooper with yellow tint. Also have a few thigh pieces with yellow tint from white Sandtroopers. Kinda sucks since these were just sitting in storage.

Here is a page about yellowed Transformers, but it works the same for vinyl. I currently have a full set of Marmit Stormtrooper armor sitting in a jar with a mixture of 3% H202 and a bit of OxyClean to boost. Haven't had much sun the past few days, but UV is the key. My Marmit went in looking almost as yellow as the body and now it is mostly white. No damage to the paint.

There are different strengths of H202 out there, so be careful.

Here is Brinn 71's Marmit after a peroxide bath (look at page 10) and he goes on to explain how he fixed his yellow armor using the same method.

I've read a lot about that online…people report mixed results but I just saw that thread about Brinn's customs (now referenced above) and it seemed to work like a charm for him.

The only thing that worries me is how it may affect the plastic over time…but it's tempting to give it a shot.

^I wanna see more of that Kit fisto.

Well...I don't have that Kit Fisto (and man does it , along with that whole amazing collection, look GOOD!)....but how about this one....

Sideshow's Kit still looks good after all these years. Seeing that Saesee Tinn in that collection sure makes me wish Sideshow would produce one....

Question to anyone who has sideshow stormtroopers. Do they all have silver creases on the shoes? They look like they are intended to be there but the rest of the figure looks clean.

thanks, i wish i i could display them like this, instead theyre in three detolfs broken up into squads led by generals and one by the chancellor(forgot to put him in, he shouldve been in the back center

His display is amazing....I'd love to see some individual shots of some of those....

Another Jedi General and her Clone Commander....
