Are TT Slims still considered the best body replacement for the original Sideshow Stormtroopers? I have a couple I'd like to upgrade so they finally stand on their own but I don't have a lot of free time to do much custom modding to them. What body can be swapped in and is compatible with all the pegs without any additional trimming, drilling or filling?

Best give them to me, i'll take good care of them ;).

Ht bodies are very good, but they cost a small fortune

Best,

Some Rebel scum to balance things out.

Anyone that has swapped head on the older Sideshow figures like the Rebel Fleet Troopers, aside from the Endor Rebel heads swapping easily, what other heads will work with the older body types? I am having trouble finding alternate heads for multiple Rebel Fleet Troopers. I am looking for the Endor ones...no luck so far I have a friend offering me a TTM 8 head, looks similar, will it work?

Anyone else made this swap easily with other heads???

One of those rebels is the SSC Giles from the Buffy line (I used the suit for my Prof. Henry Jones Jr.) and the head looks good as one of the Rebels on the Tantive IV (and good for that mid/late 70's look).

From left to right…far left is the Medicom stormtrooper packing a Sideshow E-11, all else stock. This particular one I would have to check the date stamp on, but it was a later release and the width of the helmet (while still narrow) was noticeably wider than the first release. I don't know if that was a fluke of the mould pull or whatever, or something common to all of the later production pieces.

Following that is the Sideshow Exclusive…mostly non-futzed. Moments after this cellphone pic was snapped it committed Toy Suicide. Again. Third from the left is a Medicom on a Naked 2 (Slim) body…not much to note except the armour is looser and that body is both more durable and seemingly more fluid and posable than the original. This one has stolen a Marmit bucket from a kit I haven't bothered modifying yet; likewise for the Medicom on the far right on a stock body. All the troops are carrying SSC E-11s.

If Sideshow ever revisits the stormtrooper I'd love it if they re-did the whole thing, but what are the chances?

My Marmits (Stormy and Sandy) aren't as yellow as some of the ones I've seen posted here.

I have four Marmits; a couple were bought MISB, a couple used/open. Whether it was how they were stored/displayed or the plastic batch from the factory, all four have different yellowing; one has none, it's high white. Another is slightly yellow or cream-coloured; the other two display significant yellowing.

I understand that according to some sources, the original ANH armour was milky as opposed to harsh white, but the yellowing I've seen is a product of time/decay.

I will be repainting all the suits as time and funds allow; while I'm handy with a Foredom and can sculpt/model, precision paint work (as opposed to simple weathering) is not my strong suit so I'll be outsourcing that.
