It was part of the deluxe clone line that included a veteran with weathering, 501st and a 212th.

No. I wish these were in stock longer than they were. :(

I think he meant was there another version and yes there was actually an earlier release of a shiny that only came with the phase I bucket and basic DC15 blaster. The deluxe came out years later and included both phase I and II buckets as well as other accessories.

Your right, I actually have that one (Sideshow) and there was also the Medicom, have this one too, can you tell I'm a clonehead :lol. These were all from Ep 1 and hadn't seen action yet so they were all shiny at that point.

Finally some spare time to take some pics. Unluckily my mancave is never well enlighted, so my pictures are underwhelming. :monkey3

This is the whole (always WIP) setup. Dewback has a plexi case all around. And I'm thinking about building another for Tauntaun, moving the bikes on the bottom shelf.
Too bad I have not time/idea/love (thanks to Disney) for PT figures (bottom two shelves on the right).
And I need to figure out how to carve something good for Jabba (now with Robocop that I don't know where to put).

Yeah ST - that is a great set-up and collection. Great to see SSC Greedo in there. :clap:clap

And abake re: Han Bespin, there were a few of us did the same custom using the extra SSC Han Hoth head, jacket and shirt. What was great is it was essentially free if you had a few of the right Han parts. ST might have done a few things slightly differently, but I posted mine in the Han Hoth thread (I did buy the UU pants and HT belt but already had the holster/belt and boots)...

You know, I just wanted to point out something. It just weird me out that marmit released their stormtrooper so,etching like 16 years ago, and not even the best company out there (I guess you can say hot toys) can even top it! Lookin at a marmit in some pictures is just like looking at the real deal. The only downside (besides the body and that strange head setup) is the fact the armor can actually break. It just scares me when I think about it as I pray mine never breaks, like my extra armor did.

Hot Toys and Sideshow both CAN make better armor, the issue is WILL. When the goal isn't absolute accuracy, you're not going to get it. Marmit's accuracy is good, but the final product is soft vinyl with soft details, so you have to be willing to trade that off - I'm happy to have troopers from all three companies.

"Soft details"?Are we looking at the same figures? I have 4 Marmits, and NONE of them has "soft"detailing. They are quite simply the BEST stormtrooper figures to be produced. If I had 1 criticism,it would be the non-articulated ankles(well, the guns could be better, too, but that's an easy,already-done fix)...PS

There's no beating the marmit bucket.

Very cool, thanks for the info!

The armor on every single Marmit is soft. I suppose you may not have any Hot Toys or SSC troopers. They're made from malleable vinyl and lack the edge detailing and sharpness of the two releases I mentioned. Don't know what to tell you if you don't see that - I have all of them and it's a generally known fact about the Marmit parts.
