So chevelle is up and running again! Clearanced all pushrod guide plates and hope it’s good now. Going to put on an oil catch can this week to clean up the pcv system...still need to wire the speedo!

Over a month?!?! They must have sold a bunch during the holidays? Is it a bilstein shock?

It's a great story.

Black Friday, Nov. 24th I finally order these at a 20-25% Discount.
So yes, they sold A LOT that weekend, parts were back-ordered for 2-3 weeks after I placed my order.

They ship on Dec. 19th to an older address, their mistake, and by the 27th the shipment get's returned as UPS will not deliver nor let me pick them up. Hotchkis sends out a replacement set, picked up on Wed this week. All 4 shocks are for the rear. Their sending me 2 front shocks which were supposed to go out yesterday, was told this morning the UPS truck was "full" so they didn't go out. They'll be shipping out today so I should have them by Monday.

And because for whatever reason they never sent tracking info, I had to call them at least 4-5 times (e-mailed at least 6) to figure all of this out. When the original shipment said "Delivered" when I tracked it and I didn't have them, I had to find out what the hell happened because nobody else will fast enough or informed enough to ease the thought of a lost/stolen shipment.

Keystone Cops. It's just a comedy of errors on their part and as much as I wanted them in early December I'm doing my best to wait patiently for my order to finally arrive. Horrible buying experience but I'm hoping they do everything I want as I have other Hotchkis components on my car. Otherwise I'd just save my money and look at RideTech or some other aftermarket dealer.

Haha oh my god you can't help but laugh (or else you'd probably break something) how frustrating! I'm sure it will be worth the wait, they look like nice pieces. Hotchkiss makes great components, I used UMI for the chevelle and I love it. I'll be using ridetech or speed tech for the Camaro. Keep me posted man, hope your front shocks arrive safe today....at least you're covered on the rears

Did you get your shocks porkchop?

Yes Sir.

Hopefully I'll have time soon to put them on.

This was the second shipment when they sent me 4 rear shocks.

Two are differently colored (for whatever reason) but are the same part. They were going to send a call tag with the 3rd shipment (mailed 2 days later than stated) for the extra parts but nothing came. So I'm going to give then 30 days before I sell them off. After all the grief on this order that'll more than make up for getting these at half the cost, :lol

:duff Thanks, with the weather change I'll try to put them on this weekend. Haven't driven the RR in at least 3 weeks so it should be fun. I'm going to sell the two once I get my old shocks off the car, I don't think they even remember them as I've heard nothing from them.

Hope you've gotten the shocks on there! Drive that roadrunner!! Check out my IG for a little video of my chevelle

Car looks great in the photo. What's your wheel tire combo? I'm still at least a year+ out from getting the Forgeline wheels I want.

Got the font shocks on, could not get up in the back for the rear well enough last week so I'm going to try again this week.
Will try to get the new exhaust tips on too and figure out what's going on with my power steering.

Thanks man really glad you dig the ride. The wheels are just some cheap US MAGS 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear, tires are nitto nt05 I think 275/40 rear and like 255/35 upfront. I wanted bad ass forgelines but in the end i have a hard time spending $4k on wheels. Did you see the donut vid? I think I'll be starting the camaro this year, take a loan out for like $35k and try to do all suspension, brakes, wheel/tire and drive train...paint and body later. I'll be getting soem semi forged wheels for the camaro, hopefully 18x10 all around. Look into semi forged they are within a pound of the forged wheels and ltheres lots of great styles

When I tried to find cheaper wheels like off the shelf American Racing wheels specifically (in standard 15" or 17" sizes) I would end up with 2 sets of wheels. I have to much stuff as it is... When I "custom built" a set on their website, they ended up being priced at $4800 for a set. I must have expensive taste... I have a set of 15" OG steel wheels with "Plymouth Division" poverty caps on my car, which I like, so I decided just to wait it out until I have the $' for a nicer set. Plus the larger brakes and new spindles.

I want these in either 17" in front and 18" rear, or possibly 18" All around. I was looking at Nitto NT05, NT555 G2 and Invo tires too, I want to be able to drive through the canyons out to the coast eventually.

Good luck with the Camaro!, you'll have to post pics.

Yeah those wheels look gorgeous!!! What finish would you do them in? Same as the pic? I think on a big car like the roadrunner or chevelle 18's look perfect staggered maybe even 18 front 19 rear... Maybe but everyone likes different looks. Those wheels will look killer on your ride for sure. I'm happy with the nt05's good grip and seem to last. Haha glad you dig the donuts haha! There's a roll race event at Fontana this weekend, I'll be attending with my friend and trying to beat his rx7

It was a great event! Had a blast! Got some stuff to do on the car and if I get done before the event this month I think I'll go again....you should check it out porkchop it's fun

Once I get over this flu (I'm told the chest congestion will last for a month...) and have time to complete stuff on my RR I'll try to check it out. In-laws arriving tomorrow so free time may be scarce. I may elect to focus on my car Sunday if the game isn't doing it for me...I'll be happier getting stuff done than watching the pats win again.
