Can you take a close up of the hands, to me it looks like the thumbs are correct on this figure. If that's the case, all hell's gonna break loose with SSC!

Sorry guys - should have mentioned, I fixed both the thumbs with a good hard twist.

Not many actually. In OT, passed on Vader (too many issues and need for mods to me, still prefer the Hurricane/Kaiyodo sculpt, but will likely grab the next HT Vader where the kinks will be ironed out) and Luke Stormtrooper (only because I have farmboy Luke and the stormie.)

Did buy two Chewies and two stormies. Still mulling the sandie (looks better than stormie) and will probably grab it, but I have the Marmit and it's pretty close to as nice as the HT. Didn't buy the full Ben, got parts because I didn't like the inner bathrobe. Resold my Han to a buddy because I thought in-hand it would be better than pics and wasn't to me (even though I got it fairly cheap, I should have hung onto it as an investment:slap) and know there'll be a HT Han Bespin shown by middle of this year, which I'd prefer.

Have Leia on PO and really like the look of that.

Haven't been blown away by any of the HT figs so far except Chewy (which yes, has its issues too) and the most recent, farmboy Luke, I was "lukewarm" on.:wink1: Even the HT stormie helmet looked to me more Don Post than ANH stunt as it should have. I was expecting HT to totally nail each SW likeness and on that basis, I've been somewhat disappointed over and over, even though we've certainly gotten some gorgeously hyper-realistic heads/helmets and some incredibly well done outfits/weapons.

I have the Bespin Luke set, the first HT Star Wars release and I have to say it's pretty damn amazing in my eyes. Plus considering the price tag on that (two figures) is the same as what Vader is, I would say that was a bargain buy!

HT is sometimes hit and miss with likeness on any of their licenses. The Andrew Garfield Sculpt with Spider-man was awful!
But I agree I thought with SW they would have been a bit more on point.

Yeah, and HT Terminators (T2) I just kept waiting and waiting - I don't need a 16 year old Arnie or an Arnie that looks like his head got vertically squashed in that crusher in T1.

The BD Luke Bespin head is great, my favorite HT - but the non-BD is too idealized for me and not a huge amount of Hamill. Still think the BD Luke Bespin sculpt is the best Luke overall (edging out the farmboy.) Hoping HT will nail a Luke Jedi.

Yeah BD Luke was amazing! That's what I bought the set for. The normal version is nice but I do get the likeness issues, it's lacking something. But I love the detail regardless.

Last payment made,so waiting REALLY begins.Already looking forward to working on the thumbs...PS

Bespin Luke is a steal compared to the prices of the recent HT & SS sw releases!

On chat right now...over a week for me as well....

SS may be waiting on more replacement arms.

Are both arms the same? Wonder if SS is just pulling the left arm off returns and sending it out as a replacement right arm (or vice versa)?

They said it is taking 5-6 BUSINESS days...

and you can't do that with arms.....they are Enantiomers..mirror image now identical.

When I received my reply last week it said the parts would ship within 7 to 10 business days.

My replacement arm has shipped and will arrive friday.

Did you get a notice it was shipped or something? Still no reply back from Sideshow for me. When did you put in your claim? Mine was last Monday.

Did they ask you for the other arm back or can you keep it? Would be a good test to fix the hands if they let you keep the arm.

My email gave directions to destroy the old parts and to send pics back to SS within 5 days of receipt of the new parts or I would be charged for them; don't ask me what their value is. I have a new right arm and head coming but I doubt it will have a hand attached since my hands had no problems...other than the wacky thumbs of course.

Even though I've been directed to smash the old parts, I'll still be able to experiment on removing the weathering from the smashed parts.

Well just got mine today and I must say, I like this figure. Overall, he's well done. I my only two minor gripes are the thumbs and he is a bit tall. I'll probably attempt the thumbs mod in a few days after I've had a chance to enjoy him on my shelf. I'm happy to report that I am one of the lucky ones who did not receive a broken one.

Waited almost a week for a response on my dinged box; here is the response:

Dear Matthew,

Thank you for your email and the pictures you provided. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the C-3PO box you received. However, after examining your photos, please know that the issue you are reporting on the graphics box looks to be normal wear and tear for any item that goes through the packing and shipping process.

Please know, if your box condition is very important to you, we do offer a pack-out service to help protect boxes at the customer’s request. This service will place your brown shipping box into another brown shipping box, adding an extra layer of protection during shipping. If you would like this service added to an order, just contact our customer service team (855-743-3746) prior to the item being charged. Keep in mind there is also a $10.00 fee per item for handling and materials, and it is usually only available for single 1:6 Scale Figures due to size constraints.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
